Day seven over and out and what a fabulous time we’ve had!!

Starting with a swim before breakfast and motor to Trogir, our final leg of an incredible journey with a spot of halyard swinging, mast climbing and belated Halloween costumes… not to mention the very intense tender races.

On our seventh day of the trip and what a way to start the day!! Sunrise to sunset we’ve been sailing the seas.

After a 4 hour night sail we rafted up for some well earned breakfast and a swim before continuing on to our final anchorage of the night as all eight boats raft together to form a star… pretty cool stuff.

Apologies for the sunrise/ sunset spam but it’s not everyday you see it rise over the horizon on a yacht!

In scouting, especially when we’re out and about on an international trip like this, it’s important we recognise the people who help us and help pave the way for our young people.

Tonight we gave our lovely water taxi man Alex our Dalmatia necker to show our appreciation for accommodating so many trips backwards and forwards from the marina to Hvar with our young people over the last two days.

Similarly gifting another necker to the staff at Marina Palmizana for their hospitality over the last few days as we were granted opportunity to use this marina as a base for sailing and sightseeing.

A busy busy day six with the second group of boats heading to Hvar to explore the old fort, bakeries and gift shops as well as having a fancy lunch out. Meanwhile three other boats headed out for a sail in some exciting winds and swells making for a choppy ride.

Also look out for today’s theme of silly shirts!!

Day five on the high seas for the West Lancashire Scout fleet with higher winds giving boats a chance for more skills and drills and a play day working more towards competence crew for the young people whilst others ventured into Hvar via a water taxi

Followed by the well awaited Croatian Bake off with… interesting… entries from some boats and tremendous creativity and resourcefulness from others. 👨‍🍳🍪🥐🧁

Day 4 on the high seas!!

Today we’ve had more exploring, more swimming, more food, more cats and of course more sailing! Although for what we lacked in wind we gained in sunshine granting all the boats a beautiful sunset sail to the isle of Palmizana.

Not to mention it was FUNKY HAT DAY!!! Spot your favourite

Most starting the day with a visit to the local bakery and then heading out into open water towards Vis (for all those mama Mia fans among us) ending the day with submarine caves, dolphins and beautiful sunset scenery.
