Following on from our last post... Meet our newest long stay cat. SULLIVAN has been with us for a while now. ⏲️
He arrived at the animal centre early March alongside cats Bree and Cleo (both since been adopted)..

Sullivan is currently in a foster home. Lisa (his foster pawrent) giving us an update on our cheeky boy 😊

--------------------------------------------------

This Halloween Eve Sullivan has officially brewed the ultimate love potion and he's ready to cast his spell on your heart! Armed with his tiny wizards hat, trusty wand and an utterly irresistible personality, this mischievous little magician is on a mission to find his forever home.

Sullivan is a certified people person, professional heart stealer and part time agent of chaos. This charming fellow makes friends with absolutely everyone he meets. He greets his favourite humans with rumbling motorboat purrs so powerful he actually starts dribbling.

But don't let that sweet face fool you. Beneath that adorable exterior lurks a master of mischief with a flair for the dramatic!

Whether he's happily playing a spirited game of fetch with his beloved spring toy or marching into a room to passionately debate the precise timing of his next meal. Sullivan makes sure his opinions are heard and should you dare utter the word 'no', prepare yourself for a full volume lecture from a very indignant cat.

Bedtime brings stealth attacks on unsuspecting toes beneath the duvet, while mornings involve systematically knocking everything off the bedside table. Still asleep? No problem, he's learnt to turn on the touch lamp!

But once the chaos settles, Sullivan transforms into the ultimate snuggle bug, contorting himself into spectacularly bone bending positions just to get that little bit closer to his beloved humans.

Endlessly affectionate, outrageously cheeky and bursting with personality, this loveable little menace brings laughter, warmth and glorious chaos to everyday.

He's ready to hang up his foster cape, claim his permanent throne and fill his forever home with purrs, cuddles and magical mayhem
Could Sullivan be the magical missing piece in your family?

Could you spare 4 hours a week to help animals?

We're looking for a friendly, reliable Volunteer Receptionist to join our team at Longview Animal Centre!

Our reception is often the first point of contact for people getting in touch with us, whether they're looking to adopt, need advice, want to support our work or need help with an animal in their care.

We're looking for someone who enjoys chatting to people, is organised and happy to lend a hand with the day-to-day running of our centre.

Just one 4-hour shift a week
A friendly and supportive team
The chance to make a difference to animals in need

You don't need to be an animal expert. We're looking for someone approachable, dependable and happy to help. Full support will be provided.

Every volunteer plays an important part in helping us care for the animals who need us. By helping on reception, you'll be supporting the whole team to do just that.

Interested? Send us a DM or email to find out more!

Bodhi found his person after what we like to call a successful failed foster. 💙

Roger had been fostering Bodhi since June due to him really struggling with rescue life and today, that just turned into his forever home. Paperwork signed, it's all official. 🏡

We love kindness at Longview… we couldn’t do what we do without it!

This week, six-year-old Finn visited us with a very special delivery.

Finn lost his own dog last year. On what would have been his dog’s birthday this year, he asked his parents if he could buy birthday presents for the animals at Longview as a way to remember him.

He looked up all our animals online, then went to Pets at Home to choose gifts for the dogs, cats and smallies too!

What a thoughtful way to remember a much-loved friend. Thank you, Finn, and your family, for sharing that love with the animals in our care. They're so grateful.

Why are black cats still so overlooked?💔

Old myths and superstitions mean these majestic felines can spend up to three times longer in rescue, waiting for homes. But anyone who has loved a black cat knows just how amazing they truly are.
