Portrush FILM Theatre

Portrush FILM Theatre Creative - Community - Cinema Run by volunteers, Portrush Film Theatre is a non-profit, community based cinema group.

Our aim is to promote greater appreciation of, and enthusiasm for, film culture in the local community by showing a diverse range of Irish , British and World cinema in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Using The Playhouse with it's unique Art Deco design and long history of cinema we boast a well stocked bar and traditional sweet sales at every show. Portrush FILM Theatre is a welcome alternative to the multiplex way of enjoying films and puts the old fashioned excitement back into "Movie Night"!

🚨🔪 ALTERNATIVE ULSTOURS TERROR TALK 🔪🚨

📞☎️ True Crime called and it wants you to hear this fascinating case ☎️📞

We are thrilled to have dark historian Andrew Johnston return to The Playhouse next week to reopen one of the most chilling true crime cases in British and Irish history…

Step into the shadowy world of Dr John Bodkin Adams — Northern Ireland’s own so-called “Angel of Death.”

From his early days in Randalstown, through Coleraine and Belfast, to the wealthy seaside streets of England’s “Costa Geriatrica,” this is the story of a ‘sausage-fingered,’ God-fearing, Rolls-Royce-driving GP whose patients had an unsettling habit of dying… often after rewriting their wills in his favour.

Was he a trusted physician… or a calculating predator?

🔎 Relive the explosive 1957 murder trial
💀 Explore the evidence, the myths, and the unanswered questions
⚖️ Decide for yourself: Britain and Ireland’s worst serial killer?
💀 Discover that he’s buried in Coleraine cemetery . . . . . . say what?!
