Our courses are run by our own talented young instructors who grew up in our club. They know exactly how to connect with young sailors and build their confidence.

From complete beginners to future adventurers who will eventually sail out to fish around the Skerries or BBQs at Portballintrae.

What a fantastic day at Portrush Commodore’s regatta, Saturday’s 8hr race was ‘blown out’ but the sun split the stones on Sunday for a cheeky 3hr relay race. Here’s the winning duo doing their required second changeover. Slick operators!

Looking for something different this summer? Our sailing courses are the perfect way to get out on the water, learn new skills, and be part of a welcoming club community.

We offer flexible options to suit everyone:

2.5-day courses (Monday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Friday) for all ages and adults
1.5-day adult courses (Friday evening + full Saturday) designed to fit around work

As a non-profit club, every booking supports local opportunity. Our courses are delivered by our own home-grown, RYA-qualified instructors—a passionate and talented young team who consistently receive outstanding feedback, especially from adult learners, for their knowledge, professionalism, and supportive teaching style.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to build confidence, this is your chance to get started. And it doesn’t stop there… many of our sailors go on to enjoy day sails to the Skerries, trips to Portballintrae, and even overnight dinghy adventures further afield.
