📣Volunteers needed!! The Gala team are requesting volunteers who would like to help at the 10 mile road race.

This is an extremely busy night and in order to provide our competitors with a safe and enjoyable experience, we have a number of roles where we need your support.

1️⃣Number pick up
🚗Car parking
🙋‍♀️Marshals for the route and for directing traffic to car parks
🥇Finish line duties
🚴‍♂️Bike marshals
👩‍🔧Pre race Set up
👨‍🔧Post race Take down
🍏Post race refreshments
🧹Post race tidy up.

HELP DESIGN OUR COMMUNITY STAGE BACKDROP!
Your Ideas. Your Festival. Your Artwork.

The Portaferry Gala Festival Committee is inviting the entire community to help create a spectacular large scale backdrop for this year's Gala Festival Stage.

Whether you're a budding artist, keen doodler, creative thinker, local historian, school pupil or simply someone who loves Portaferry, we'd love to see your ideas!

Portaferry's heritage and history
Strangford Lough and its wildlife

Anything that captures the heart, history and pride of Portaferry

What Happens Next?
The Gala Committee will review all submissions and select a variety of ideas, themes and artwork from across the community.

These ideas will then be shared with the commissioned artist, who will create a final large scale design inspired by the community's contributions. Then It's Time To Get Painting!

Everyone will be invited to a special Community Coffee & Creativity Morning where you can come along drop in and enjoy a tea or coffee meet friends and neighbours, and help paint sections of the giant backdrop

Together we'll create a unique piece of community artwork that will take pride of place behind the Gala Festival Stage. Leave Your Mark on Portaferry Gala

This won't just be a stage backdrop it will be a celebration of our people, our place and our community spirit.

📢 Event Update

Unfortunately, the Darts Madness Fundraiser – The Lep Open scheduled for this Saturday has been cancelled.

We’d like to thank everyone who showed support and interest in helping raise funds for Portaferry Gala Fest 2026.

Our focus now turns to delivering another fantastic Gala Week this July, and we look forward to seeing you all at the events throughout the week.
