đź‘€ NI ELECTRICITY DISCOUNT REMINDER: ÂŁ63 CREDIT STARTS TODAY đź‘€

From Today (Tuesday 6 October), eligible households across Northern Ireland will automatically receive a ÂŁ63 electricity discount.

If you use a pre-pay or keypad meter, the ÂŁ63 credit will be added when you make your next top-up.

If you pay by Direct Debit or receive quarterly bills, the ÂŁ63 discount will be automatically applied to your electricity account and will appear on your bill.

Important for keypad customers: if you want to receive the full ÂŁ63 credit in one go, keep your individual top-up to ÂŁ112 or less because of the ÂŁ175 maximum top-up limit.

All households in Northern Ireland will get a one-off ÂŁ63 reduction in electricity bills from next month.

Bank payment customers will have their bills automatically reduced while pay-as-you-go customers will receive ÂŁ63 in credit when they top up their meter.

The only complication for pay-as-you-go customers is they should not buy more than ÂŁ112 of credit if they want to get the discount all in one go.

That is because meters are set up to take a maximum payment of ÂŁ175. Top ups over this value means the ÂŁ63 payment will be split over a subsequent top up.
