PONT is a Pontypridd based charity that has laid the foundations for a long term, close knit relationship with the Ugandan district of Mbale. This relationship has flourished since 2005 and has expanded to create partnerships that address health, education, engineering and the environment, among others. The partnerships run on direct contact with Ugandan counterparts, cutting out the middle man, and creating a transparency that instills donors with confidence. For us, the main advantage of this way of working together its ability to enrich and solidify the communities involved.
