PONT Our mission is to change lives by linking communities in RCT (Wales) and Mbale (Uganda) in order to efficiently address poverty and development issues

PONT is a Pontypridd based charity that has laid the foundations for a long term, close knit relationship with the Ugandan district of Mbale. This relationship has flourished since 2005 and has expanded to create partnerships that address health, education, engineering and the environment, among others. The partnerships run on direct contact with Ugandan counterparts, cutting out the middle man, a

nd creating a transparency that instills donors with confidence. For us, the main advantage of this way of working together its ability to enrich and solidify the communities involved.

Oliver is one of our trained community health team. After finding 80 years old Watsisi Tolophina very unwell, Oliver got her to a Health Centre for treatment. Oliver continues to visit and monitor tolophina & to check on her improvement. www.pont-mbale.org.uk
