Well, it's ALMOST Christmas!

🎁 It's that time of year again where we launch our Christmas Gift Appeal

☃️ The Christmas Appeal 2025 was our biggest to date with all of your kindness and generosity enabling us to provide gifts, pyjamas, Christmas food treats and most importantly, joy and stress reduction for more than 600 children and their families in RCT!

Let's make the Christmas Gift Appeal 2026 even bigger and better!

☕🧶 TUESDAYS ARE FOR CRAFT, CUPPAS & COMPANY! 💛

Fancy getting out of the house, meeting new people and enjoying a good old natter over a cuppa? We would love you to join us! 🥰

Our LCDP Craft & Cuppa group meets every Tuesday, and there's always room for a few more friendly faces!

🧶 Bring your knitting, crochet, diamond art, colouring or whatever craft you're working on!

☕ Not into crafts? Absolutely fine! Just bring yourself! Come along for a cuppa, a biscuit, some laughter and a bit of company. Sometimes a friendly chat is all we need. ❤️

🤝 We will also have some lovely people joining us to offer extra support:

💬 Hannah from Citizens Advice – available to provide advice, support and guidance.

✨ Everyone is welcome! Whether you're 30 or 90, coming with a friend or popping in on your own, you'll be made to feel welcome.

There's no need to book, just pop along, pull up a chair and make yourself at home.

Today is - This years theme is "Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change." Lived experiences doesn't matter just one day of the year and the same for Mental Health.

Throughout the week we have been raising awareness of the amazing local services available throughout RCT and working alongside partners such as New Horizons Mental Health on Heritage Walks and the Community Mental Health Team to reach more people.

Today marks the start of Hate Crime Awareness Week!

Hate leaves a lasting impact Race hate doesn’t only affect the individual targeted. It can affect confidence, mental wellbeing, feelings of safety and trust in communities. Many victims tell us they change their routines, avoid certain places or feel isolated after experiencing hate. By reporting hate crime and supporting victims, we can help ensure people are heard, believed and supported.
