📢 DBS Disclosure Eligibility Workshop

Working with staff or volunteers? Learn how DBS checks help protect vulnerable groups and support safer recruitment practices.

As part of , join Owain Rowlands, DBS Regional Outreach Advisor for Wales, for a free 90-minute workshop designed to help organisations better understand the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and safe recruitment.

The session will cover:
✔️ Different levels of DBS checks
✔️ Eligibility for volunteers and employees
✔️ What ‘regulated activity’ means
✔️ The DBS Update Service
✔️ Safe recruitment practices
✔️ How DBS and organisations can work together effectively

Now Open: Free Digital Mentoring for Third Sector Organisations in Wales

Third sector organisations across Wales now have the opportunity to access free tailored digital mentoring support through the Newid programme.

Delivered in partnership by WCVA CGGC, Cwmpas and ProMo Cymru, and funded by Welsh Government, Newid helps organisations build confidence in digital tools, improve ways of working and explore practical modernisation opportunities.

Successful organisations can receive up to 35 hours of tailored support, including:
✅ Digital mentoring and guidance
✅ Support with AI, workflows, data management and digital tools
✅ Help identifying practical improvements
✅ Action planning and capacity building

The programme is open to charities, social enterprises and community groups in Wales with an annual turnover of over £20,000.

📅 Deadline to apply: Friday, 12 June 2026

Demand is expected to be high, so early applications are encouraged.
