Wonderful licensing service for Peter and Liz Livey last evening by Bishop Mike. We are thrilled and honoured to have them as Interim Priest in Charge and Associate Priest respectively in our church, having coped for 3 years without a vicar! The pics are of the fantastic supper in the Hall afterwards. Many thanks to all who worked so hard to achieve this..especially Lyn Crews, Kath Rogers and Helen Beaven. Thanks too to Sophie Beaven for making the fabulous welcome cake for Peter and Liz, which also was delicious! The fact that so many friends of theirs travelled from afar to witness this service speaks volumes about what a well loved and respected couple they are. We intend to treasure them too!

Yesterday afternoon we had a wonderful confirmation service of 4 people in the church, by Bishop Mike, then a fantastic afternoon tea over at the Hall afterwards. We were thrilled to have with us at the service, our new, about to be Interim Priest in Charge, Peter Livey and his wife Liz, who will be our Associate Priest. They are to be installed this evening so we are all very much looking forward to them joining us at St Budeaux Parish Church. More of that tomorrow!
