Say hello to Nutmeg, Bella and Bronwyn, our trio of English Goats and very special members of the Butser family. 🌿🐐

🌱 Nutmeg is 2 years old and the fourth generation of her family to live at Butser, following her great-grandmother Yarrow, grandmother Bella and mother Sorrel.

🐐 Bella is 12 years old and has spent her entire life here. She’s Nutmeg’s grandmother and the oldest animal on site!

🌿 Bronwyn is 8 years old and, like Bella, was born right here at the farm.

Old English Goats are a rare breed, descending from the Neolithic era. Today, there are thought to be as few as 1,200 individuals remaining. We’re also proud to be part of the Old English Goat breeding programme and members of the English Goat Breeders Association, helping to support the future of the breed. 💚

Next time you visit Butser, make sure you stop by and say hello to our furry friends!
