Hi 👋 I am Anna and I'm aged 4 from Georgia 🇬🇪 and I was diagnosed with MICPCH at age 1.

👨My favourite person is my dad, because he always makes me smile 😄

🙌🏻My proudest moment so far is when I lose my balance, I know how to fall safely and not hurt myself.

A challenge I overcome daily is controlling emotions when I'm angry.

My current skills include sitting, crawling, and standing independently but my biggest struggle is not being able to talk.

My favourite toy is my singing giraffe 🦒🎵

🧑‍⚕️ My current therapies include PT, OT, early intervention therapy and speech therapy.

3 things I enjoy the most are:
🚗 car rides with my dad
🎶listening to music
🏊swimming

A big step forward for our CASK community
We’re so proud to share an important update in our research journey.
Two of our CASK children have donated blood samples to help create special cell lines for research. These have now been officially registered and approved on a Global Scientific Database (hPSCreg).
💡 What does this mean?
✔️ These cells are recognised and trusted by scientists around the world
✔️ Researchers can now use them to better understand how CASK affects the brain
✔️ It allows labs across the world to work together using the same model
💛 Why this matters
For rare conditions like CASK, progress only happens when researchers can work together. This step means:
🌍 More scientists can study CASK
🔬 Research can move faster and build on each other
💊 It brings us closer to finding treatments

This is a powerful step forward.
