🐑❤️ BAA BAA BISTRO – A TEMPORARY GOODBYE, BUT EXCITING TIMES AHEAD! ❤️🐑

We’re unfortunately having to share the news that Baa Baa Bistro will be temporarily closing from Monday 7 September 2026 while Peterborough City Council’s contractors begin refurbishment works at the Community Centre.

We know this will come as a disappointment to our lovely customers, particularly as we were looking forward to welcoming everyone back in September with our new menu and lots of exciting plan after our summer break.

However… there is some really good news to look forward to! 🎉🐑

Once the refurbishment has been completed and the Dementia Centre services have relocated, Baa Baa Bistro will be expanding! ❤️

Our plans are to:

☕ Open 6 days a week
🍰 Stay open for longer hours
🥪 Offer even more opportunities to enjoy our food, drinks and homemade treats
❤️ Continue providing a welcoming and friendly space for our community
🐑 Build on everything that makes Baa Baa Bistro so special

❤️ OUR COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

We also appreciate that Baa Baa Bistro is about much more than the café itself. We know how important our Paston Yarners, Creative Café and Relaxation sessions are to those who attend.

We are actively trying to ensure these activities can continue during the refurbishment period, although alternative arrangements may be needed while the work is taking place.

We will keep everyone fully updated as soon as we know more, including any changes to venues, dates or arrangements.

🌟 A NEW CHAPTER FOR BAA BAA BISTRO

This temporary closure is not the end of Baa Baa Bistro, it’s the beginning of an exciting new chapter!

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported us, visited us, enjoyed our food, shared a cuppa with us and helped make Baa Baa Bistro what it is today.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support.

We’ll keep you updated throughout the refurbishment and let you know as soon as we have more information about our reopening and our community activities.

YES - this session will still be running. Just come into the boxing gym instead. Peterborough PAL Boxing Club will accommodate us. The community side of the building may be out of use but the gym remains open.

🧶 PASTON FARM YARNERS – MONDAY 10am–12pm 🧶

Although the Community Centre is currently closed for refurbishment, Paston Farm Yarners will still be going ahead!

The boxing gym remains open and will accommodate our yarners’ session, so please come along as usual.

⚠️ Please don’t arrive before 10am. The doors won’t be open before then as we’ll need a little time to make some adjustments and get the space ready for the session.

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE – PASTON FARM COMMUNITY CENTRE

We have been informed that refurbishment works at Paston Farm are due to commence in preparation for the Dementia Resource Centre.

Unfortunately, this means that Paston Farm Community Centre is closed from immediate effect.

We appreciate this is extremely short notice and may come as a surprise to our community and regular users. We were expecting the works to be planned in a way that would allow for minimal disruption to the groups and activities that take place here.

Please be reassured that we are already in discussions with the Council to understand the situation and to raise our concerns about the impact this sudden closure will have. We are working hard to find alternative arrangements wherever possible and to accommodate our regular groups.

👉 If you attend a group or activity at the centre, please contact the person who runs your group directly for information about arrangements and whether your session will be affected.

🥊 THE BOXING GYM REMAINS OPEN
The boxing gym is separate from the Community Centre refurbishment and continues to operate as normal.

We are sorry for the disruption and the short notice. We will keep everyone updated as soon as we have further information.

Funded by Pride in Place, we’re delighted to offer this amazing opportunity to enjoy 3 hours of FREE crochet tuition. Expression of interests must be emailed.

🌞 BAA BAA BISTRO IS TAKING A WELL-DESERVED SUMMER BREAK! 🐑💚

After a busy and exciting time at our community café, we’ve decided it’s time for a short, well-deserved summer holiday break! ☀️🌴

(Please note community centre groups will continue as normal)

We’ll be taking a break with immediate effect, taking a little time to rest, recharge and enjoy some downtime so we can come back refreshed, energised and ready for a fresh new start in September. 💚

📅 We’ll be reopening on Monday 7 September at 9.30am 🙌

🙋‍♂️Men’s breakfast club will be back in September from Saturday 12 September 🍳

Don’t worry we’ve got lots planned for our return! 🎉
