What a first quarter we have had at The George Alcock Centre!

From graduation parties, a mendhi, countless birthday parties, a baptism, christening, a wake, holi party and multiple conferences too, all alongside our regular weekly bookings.

As a large, fully accessible venue, we can offer hire for a variety of purposes, including bookings with bar and catering packages. We can even help with chair covers and bows for that extra special touch.

Today we were delighted to host the Christmas dinner for the The Memory Club & Café, our warm and welcoming dementia support group that meets at the centre each week.

The Memory Club & Café provides a safe, friendly space for people living with memory loss or neurodegenerative conditions, as well as carers, family members and friends. Through peer support, activities, music, conversation and shared experiences, the group helps reduce isolation and builds a strong sense of community.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the amazing team for their hard work and dedication in supporting the group and helping make today such a special occasion.

We are so proud to provide a space where people can connect, feel supported and enjoy time together. Events like today’s Christmas dinner are a wonderful reminder of how important these groups are, especially at this time of year.

If you’d like to find out more about the Memory Club & Café or other community groups based at the George Alcock Centre, please get in touch.
