Merrylegs Charitable Trust 1155405 Welcome to Merrylegs, an animal sanctuary nr Peterborough. Rescuing animals for over 30years. we’re n Some have been abandoned, neglected, or ill treated.

Welcome to merrylegs charitable trust, we are a animal charity based in Whittlesey near Peterborough. We have been rescuing and homing animals at our shelter for over 20 years soley funded by Oakdale Veterinary Centre in Stanground. Providing veterinary treatment, feed, water, shelter and love for all those animals that need it. Currently at the shelter we have
109 horses and ponies
29 Dogs
136 C

ats
9 rabbits
2 Guinea pigs
5 Pigs
7 terrapins
5 Cattle
6 Goats
1 African grey parrot
1 Amazon Blue
1 Goffins Cockatoo
Small aivary birds
5 Ferrets
Lots of chickens and ducks

All these animals have needed a home through no fault of their own. Some have veterinary costs which are too high for owners to pay so were going to be put to sleep, we have ponies that were destined for tiger food, and stray cats, to list a few. Merrylegs will not see a healthy animal put to sleep and will do our best to nurse back to health any animal we can. Please see the rest of out page for our recent rescue stories,

Merrylegs charitable trust will be running fund raising events starting in the summer 2014 to raise money to update our shelters these will include

Car boot sales
Horse awareness events
Have a go shows
Own a pony days
Ladies coffee morning
To name a few

We'd also like to thank Arnold Laver Peterborough for donating materials and sourcing tradesmen to do much needed repairs!

Little man is back from his little man operation and his first vacc now resting up in his bed so he doesn’t jump about too much ,I am going thro all the enquires still sorry ,he’s a very popular little chap! And again I’m going thro them fairly and throughly in order of enquiries about him like the order they came in ,iv had some amazing home offers so please don t be disappointed if it isn’t you as I know for sure there will be other babies coming along guys xx
