Celebrating our Outdoor Activity Instructors! 🎉

The heatwave at the moment has been putting our instructors at Nene Outdoors well and truly through their paces, as they manage the enjoyment and safety of school groups and the public!

No two days or months are the same in this role, as our instructor Beth describes in her recent blog post. Have a read and find out more about the busy and varied time the team have throughout the year, as they manage holiday clubs, school groups, corporate team building days, children's parties, watersports courses and fun water and land activities for all our visitors, giving everyone a brilliant day out when they come to the Park.

We’ve got another amazing Foodie Friday lined up this week, and we’re adding extra gazebos to help keep you cool 😎🎶🥳

There’ll be even more delicious options to choose from, with new street food trucks joining us, alongside refreshing drinks from our resident craft bar. Plus, enjoy live music from three talented singers to set the perfect weekend vibe.

Bring your family and friends and enjoy the sunshine - it’s the perfect way to kick off your weekend! Food and drinks will be served from 3pm, with live music from 5–8pm. We can’t wait to see you there! 🎉

Take part in our Big Summer Cycling Challenge! 🚴

Are you a family who love the Park and want to get out on your bikes to raise money for Nene Park Trust? Then read on...

We're launching an exciting six-week fundraising challenge for families of all ages to come and enjoy being out in their local green space on two or three wheels. Whether you sign up to cycle one mile, five miles, fifty miles or 100 miles, the distance you pledge to complete is up to you - we just want to see lots of our visitors taking part throughout the summer!

As we prepare for soaring temperatures once again, here are some hot weather safety reminders:

🫗Stay hydrated - we have water refill points throughout the Park
🌳Keep in the shade - we have lot of woodlands and mature trees around the Park for you to shelter under
🛟Stay safe - don't jump into the water in our lakes or the river
🐶Keep your dogs out of the heat of the day - and never leave them in hot cars
🍖Barbecue safely - use the fixed BBQ stands or barbecues raised well off the ground. Remember that disposable barbecues are not allowed anywhere in the Park

Head down to the Visitor Centre this weekend to design and make a Father's Day card for the special man in your life. Handmade cards always mean the most!

We’ll have everything you need ready for you, so just come along between 10am and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday and our friendly team will get your started.

This activity is free, but donations are always welcome to help us keep our crafts going. 🤗
