A few hardy souls braved the rain in North Queensferry as part of the Big Forth Cleanup, organised by Balanced Horizon Charity
About 30kg was collected from Ferrycraigs beach - loads of plastic straws, plastic bottles, plastic sheeting, polystyrene and a pair of slippers!

Following on from the great work Deep Sea World have done this summer cleaning the beaches of North Queensferry we’ll be having an impromptu beach clean on Sunday 30 August at 11am as part of the Big Forth Cleanup. We’ll be meeting at the end of Ferry Road, under the Forth Road Bridge (tho weather forecast isn’t great!). All you need to bring is a pair of gloves (and a littler picker if you have one)

Whether you're coming on your own, with friends or bringing the whole family, every helping hand makes a real difference. Together, we can help protect our local coastline and the marine life that calls it home.

🚲 Please note: Parking at Port Laing is very limited, so if you're able to, we'd encourage you to walk or cycle to the beach.

🧤 We'll provide all the litter-picking equipment—you just need to wear sensible footwear and dress for the weather.
