🌼 It's – but why should you let your lawn grow uncut this month?

Our habit of keeping lawns short, neat and uniform strips away the wildflowers that pollinators depend on – depriving us of much of the life and colour our gardens could bring.

Skipping a few cuts gives clover, daisies, dandelions and more a chance to return. That means more food for bees and butterflies – and more life right outside your door.

Even if you're not ready to leave the whole lawn, a strip or small patch left uncut can still make a meaningful difference.

It's one of the easiest ways to help nature thrive in your garden – no extra work, and it actually saves you time.

Longer grass often stays greener in dry weather too. πŸ’š

Today is the day - it’s ! Ready to put the mower away for the No Mow Movement?🌸πŸ₯³

It’s one of the easiest ways to help the environment. By letting wildflowers like daisies and dandelions grow throughout summer, you can help local wildlife like bees and butterflies.🐝

Even the smallest wilder patch can make a difference.πŸ™Œ

Let it grow and pledge to put the mower away to help nature thrive.

It’s been a month since Go-Flexi was expanded in West Fife – and we want to hear your views to make the service even better!

Go Flexi is an on demand bus service, funded by Fife Council and operated by Moffat & Williamson, which provides flexible, sustainable travel within designated FlexiZones.

Unlike traditional bus routes, Go Flexi allows customers to book journeys in advance, choosing pick up and drop off points at local bus stops within their zone. Trips can be booked up to a week ahead or as late as one hour before travel, using the Go Flexi mobile app or by phoning the booking line. Concession passes, cash and contactless payments are accepted, and vehicles are accessible for wheelchair users, prams and assistance dogs.

Following a successful trial and in response to passenger feedback, Go Flexi West Fife currently operates:
β€’ Monday to Thursday: 8.15am – 5.30pm
β€’ Friday and Saturday: 8.15am – 11.15pm

The service connects communities including Saline, Steelend, Bogside, Blairhall, Oakley, Comrie, High Valleyfield, Cairneyhill and Kincardine, while also linking the Forthbridgehead area with Cairneyhill, Ferrytoll, Europarc and Inverkeithing Rail Station.

It is designed to complement, not replace, mainstream bus services by providing onward connections at key interchange points.

With the expanded Go Flexi West Fife service due to run until mid August 2027 at least, we’re looking for people to share their experiences and suggestions to help shape the future of the service.

Please visit www.fife.gov.uk/goflexifeedback to have your say and help us meet the needs of local communities.

And for more information on Go-Flexi, including details about how to book journeys, visit www.go flexi.org.
