Under the watchful eye of Tony, one of our Level 2 Coaches
CAST Level 3 student angler, Ryan, with a nice Mirror Carp, one of three he caught during his lesson today. He played it to the net perfectly. Top angling, Ryan!

We were delighted to help sponsor the Wednesday Club Pool team from St Marks in attending 2 day competition last week in Coleraine. Both St Marks and Ark Housing Association have been huge supporters of our charity and it is with great pride we witnessed both teams bring home 1st place prizes. It was a superb experience for everyone and we had the pleasure of staying in The Lodge Hotel Coleraine who looked after us for the 2 days. Great work by Northern Ireland Disability Pool for organising the whole week of events. Well done to every single player who worked so hard to make this such a successful team win.

Just to remind everyone that the dip tank is in place for a reason, it’s not an ornament so please use it.
Doesn’t matter if you don’t fish anywhere else, how would we know ?

Well what a fantastic turnout today for our volunteer day with 20 people supporting our charity to get it tidied up.
For what was meant to be a more relaxing work day turned into a full scale event with lots of work done in both the pond and canal sections.
Margins trimmed back nicely and lots of rubbish taken away, pellets all bagged up, cabin, kitchen and toilets all cleaned up and new gate post put in.
Great tea break with big T,s cake going down a treat 🤪
Brilliant turnout from everyone, thanks for your hard work , never a truer saying than many hands make light work 👍 we’ll sleep well tonight 🎣🎣🐟

A huge thank you to the 10 volunteers who helped out today with maintenance around our fishery.

We should have had more people turn up but for whatever reason they didn’t and left it to a group with the average age being 70 😤

After our 10am briefing by JR it was heigh hoooo 🔨🪏🪚

Lots of work carried out over the past 2 days to make the place not only better looking but safer for EVERYONE who uses the facilities.
A lot of the work today was repairing stands, new posts and frontage on some with more work to do in the pond and the top end of the car park.

Thanks to Reece for the digger work and Stevie played mother today to prepare 11 o’clock break and lunch.

Next week (Saturday 19th September)is a more relaxed volunteer day with basically gardening work, and something for all abilities, tea, coffee, cake and sandwiches are on the menu, hopefully see you then.
Good work gents 🎣🐟

We had a great turnout for this evening’s knock up with 12 anglers taking to the bank for the 4pm start.
It was slow to start and a few guys had their work to do keeping the fish on and some unfortunately lost a few - that’s fishing for you 🐟🎣

Some really nice carp caught tonight and a few doubles. 👍

Someone mentioned having a 6 pole against 6 rod knock-up sometime but as the daylight is against us for an evening match maybe it could be ran on a Monday- any members interested let us know.
