Thanks to Woodham Burn Primary School for the donation.
There was so much we didn’t finish sorting it all and weighing it in, but we will update you next week on the total.
Thank you so much for the donation.

Thank you to all the families at St Mary”s for their donation to the foodbank. My car was full!

The children were very interested finding out about the work we do, and asked lots of really good questions.
Thank you for asking me to come along and talk to you.

❄️ Can we beat last year's total?

In 2025, our Tesco Winter Collection collected an incredible 5,384kg of food and toiletries, helping provide around 6,730 meals for local people facing hardship.

This November, we're hoping to make an even bigger difference! 🛒

With your support, we’d love to increase that total and help even more people across our community - but we need volunteers to encourage donations in the below Tesco stores to make it happen! 🙌🏻

📍Durham Gilesgate
📍Chester-le-Street
📍Newton Aycliffe

Whether you can spare an hour or a few, we’d love your help volunteering at our Tesco Winter Collection! Every volunteer makes a difference in helping us collect donations for local people in need 💚

📩 Interested in volunteering? Email [email protected] to find out more!

WE URGENTLY NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR OUR TESCO WINTER COLLECTION! 🎄

Our Tesco Winter Collection is coming up, and we’re really in need of volunteers to help us at Tesco Durham Gilesgate and Tesco Newton Aycliffe! 💚

The collection helps us stock up on essential food and toiletries to support local people over Christmas and into the new year, so every volunteer makes a real difference.

If you’re able to lend a hand, please get in touch with [email protected] to find out more and sign up!

Please also share this post to help us spread the word. Thank you for your continued support! 🙌🏻

UPDATE - BACK IN THE HALL
We are open Wednesday 30th September from the Unity Hall at the back of the church, rather than the vestry.
We are still getting things sorted out so won’t quite be back to our usual session, (we are not able to provide hot drinks or food yet) but over the next few weeks look out for additional messages.

We will be hoping on Wednesday by our friends from
DASHorg

🌟 The Welcome Hub - Join Us! 🌟

We’re delighted to introduce The Welcome Hub, a welcoming space for families to connect, chat, and feel supported. Replacing our usual toddler group, this new session allows us to open our doors to a wider range of families in our community.

Pop in for a cuppa and a friendly chat, explore our Community Pantry for essential items, and let little ones enjoy a selection of toys while you relax.

🗓 Tuesdays | 9:15–10:15

It’s all about community, kindness and making life a little easier. No need to book - just come along! 💙
