Aycliffe Foodbank and Drop In

Aycliffe Foodbank and Drop In We are based at St Clare’s Church (the hall at the rear), and help people with emergency food via a referral voucher system. We also offer a hot drink/snack.

We also sign-post to other support and have organisations regularly attending our sessions.

🌟 The Welcome Hub - Join Us! 🌟

We’re delighted to introduce The Welcome Hub, a welcoming space for families to connect, chat, and feel supported. Replacing our usual toddler group, this new session allows us to open our doors to a wider range of families in our community.

Pop in for a cuppa and a friendly chat, explore our Community Pantry for essential items, and let little ones enjoy a selection of toys while you relax.

If you have a food or fuel voucher code come and see us for your emergency food parcel.

To get a voucher, speak to your GP/Social or support worker, or by calling Welfare Assist (0300 026 7900), or Trussell directly (0191 303 8693).

Its been a while since we posted - we are still here, but operating a limited service from the Church Vestry. Opening hours unchanged, Wednesday and Friday 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

We've had a few regular friends visit us recently; thank you for the very kind donations from Andrea for the Easter Eggs, also a shout out to The RnD Academy for their donation from academy collections - we appreciate you all!

We were also invited to visit the Rotary, Great Aycliffe to explain about the foodbank and the signposting we do in conjunction with the many valuable support groups we collaborate with. We hope to have them back with us very soon. Thank you also for your very kind donation. https://www.facebook.com/groups/211260291820036/

A great visit to St Mary's Catholic Primary School saw Vicky chat to a number of classes, explain about the foodbank and support that people sometimes need. She also left with a very kind donation too.

Thank you for having us.

**Reminder that although we aren't in a position to take donations in directly, they can be dropped into the Tesco Basket where they will make their way to the Warehouse, and in turn, to us in pre-packed emergency food parcels.

Thank you everyone for your continued support and donations.

***We are open on Wednesday and Friday, 1.30pm to 3.30pm***

We are still unable to use the main hall whilst waiting for the repairs to be carried out. So we are open, with a limited offering, from the Vestry (as per the photo), through the glass doors at the entrance to the driveway.

We can provide food support by way of a pre-packaged emergency food parcel, prepared by the warehouse and delivered to us. So your donations via Tesco are still so important, they do still reach us. You do need to have a voucher code, so if you don't have one, please speak to your GP, Social or Support worker or call Welfare Assist on 0300 026 7900 or the Trussell team on 0191 303 8693.

We don't have any support groups in with us due to the space, but we can still signpost and let you know if they will be available face to face either at the Lifeline hub or Waythrough hub during the week. No drinks or snacks are available.
