We’re excited to introduce another NEW activity at Lifeline Community Hub!

Starting Tuesday 15th September, the lovely Dianne will be joining us to run our new Seated Movement Class.

📅 **Every Tuesday**
⏰ **3pm – 4pm**
📍 **Lifeline Community Hub, Newton Aycliffe**

Our Seated Movement sessions offer a gentle and accessible way to get moving, with exercises that can be completed while seated.

The class is perfect for anyone looking to:

✨ Keep active at their own pace
✨ Improve movement, mobility and flexibility
✨ Build confidence
✨ Enjoy some company and meet new people
✨ Have fun in a friendly, relaxed environment

You don’t need to be fit or have any previous experience – Dianne will make sure the session is welcoming and suitable for different abilities.

Come along and give it a try – it’s FREE!

Our first session is:

🗓️ **Tuesday 15th September**
⏰ **3pm – 4pm**

🎨 **CRAFT INSTRUCTOR WANTED!** 🎨

We’re looking for a creative, friendly and enthusiastic Craft Instructor to deliver a new programme of craft sessions at Lifeline Community Hub, Newton Aycliffe.

Thanks to new funding, we’re able to offer regular weekly sessions where people can come together, get creative, learn new skills and enjoy the social and wellbeing benefits of taking part in crafts.

💷 **£30 per hour**
⏰ **1-hour weekly sessions**
📍 **Lifeline Community Hub, Newton Aycliffe**

We’re looking for someone who can plan and deliver a variety of accessible and enjoyable craft activities, suitable for people with different abilities and levels of experience.

You’ll need to be confident leading a group, welcoming and encouraging, and able to create a relaxed environment where everyone can get involved.

Please note: This is a self-employed sessional opportunity, not an employed position. You must be able to invoice Lifeline Community Action for the sessions you deliver.

🚀 **We’re keen to get the sessions started as soon as possible!**

📩 **Interested?**

Please email [email protected] with a little information about yourself, your relevant experience and the types of craft activities you could offer.

💜 **Please share!** We’d love to find someone local who can help us bring these new sessions to life at the Hub.

🥕🍞 THE PEOPLE’S PANTRY IS OPENING! 🥫🍎

We’re delighted to announce that our People’s Pantry will officially open on:

📅 Tuesday 8th September
⏰ 9.30am – 2.30pm
📍 Lifeline Community Hub

The pantry will be open every Tuesday & Friday from 9.30 - 2.30pm.

💚 OPEN TO EVERYONE! 💚

Our People’s Pantry is all about reducing food waste, supporting our community and making sure good food is put to good use.

🛒 HOW DOES IT WORK?

⭐ £5 annual membership
⭐ £5 to fill a basket
⭐ Members can visit the Pantry once a week
⭐ Please bring a carrier bag with you

There are no complicated criteria – our People’s Pantry is open to everyone in our community.

♻️ HELP US STOCK THE PANTRY TOO!

We also welcome donations of food and suitable pantry items from individuals, local businesses and organisations.

By donating to our Pantry, you’re not only helping us provide more choice for our community – you’re also helping Lifeline Community Action raise essential funds to continue delivering our crisis support projects for local people and families when they need us most.

So if you have suitable food you can donate, or you’re a business with surplus stock that could be put to good use, we’d love to hear from you! 💚

🙏 A HUGE THANK YOU

We are incredibly grateful to the North East Mayors Fund and Great Aycliffe Town Council for providing funding to support this project and helping us make the People’s Pantry possible.

We can’t wait to open the doors and look forward to welcoming everyone on Tuesday!

💚 Reduce food waste • Support your community • Help support our crisis projects

📣 Please share and help us spread the word!

💜 Bereavement Support Groups at Lifeline Community Action Hub 💜

Grief can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face it alone.

We are pleased to be launching two new Bereavement Support Groups every week at the Lifeline Community Action Hub, 30 Beveridge Way, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 4DS (opposite Boyes in the Town Centre).

🕕 Evening Group from 📅 Wednesday 9th September, 6-7pm 👤 Facilitated by Tricia (Entry on an evening is via the rear door in the car park, Greenwell Road)

🕐 Afternoon Group from 📅 Tuesday 15th September, 1-2pm 👤 Facilitated by Becka

These groups provide a safe, welcoming space to connect with others who understand loss, share experiences if you wish, and receive support on your bereavement journey.

This service has been requested many times, and we are proud to offer this much-needed support thanks to the commitment of Tricia, Becka and Bernadette.
