🌿 Snowdrop Walk at Landwade Hall – Just 10 Days to Go 🌿

In just 10 days’ time, we will be welcoming visitors to the beautiful grounds of Landwade Hall, Exning, for our much-loved Snowdrop Walk on Sunday 22 February 2026.

This is a rare opportunity to wander through stunning countryside as carpets of snowdrops come into bloom — a real sign that spring is on its way.

🚶 Choose a gentle 30-minute stroll or a longer 60-minute loop
⛪ Take the opportunity to visit historic St Nicholas’ Church
🐕 Well-behaved dogs on short leads are very welcome
☕ Warm refreshments will be available

VJ Day 80.
Today, 15 August we remember the end of the war in the Pacific and honour the courage and sacrifice of all who served. We also recognise the service of today’s Armed Forces and the families who support them.

If you’d like to mark the day locally, the VJ Day Picnic on the Severals takes place tomorrow, Saturday 16 August, 13:00–16:00, organised by Newmarket Poppy Appeal. Everyone is welcome to pause, reflect, and come together as a community here in Newmarket, Suffolk.
