Mildenhall Security Watch Association was founded in 2007 to help reduce crime on the Mildenhall industrial estate. We work along the lines of the well-known Neighbourhood Watch schemes, the difference being that we operate for the benefit of the businesses in Mildenhall. Working together with Suffolk Constabulary, Forest Heath District Council and Neighborhood Watch we have reduced crime on the Industrial estate from 20 a month to 2, using an email system and now social media to alert of incidents and suspicious activity and allow others to report. Through our work alongside Suffolk Police, we have substantially reduced the level of crimes carried out against businesses, leading to a more pleasant working environment for all. We are proud to announce we have recently won an award from Forest Heath Crime Prevention Panel Awards.
