We hold classes and clubs across both our Front Street and Gibson Street sites, for anyone who would like to learn or improve their arts skills, as well as regular exhibitions of work by our members and local artists. We cover drawing, watercolour, acrylic, oil and water-soluble oil painting as well as a

wide range of general craft activities, and will be expanding our range of classes in 2023. The charity was formed in August 2015 to serve the local community in and around Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland. Our objective is to advance education in arts and crafts for the local community; in particular, but not exclusively, by providing tuition and art/craft facilities.

​We are officially kicking off our brand-new exhibition, and we want you to celebrate with us! Join us this Sunday, 28th June, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM for our exclusive Meet the Artists event.

​This is your chance to wander the gallery, view the incredible new collection up close, and chat directly with the brilliant minds behind the work. Whether you're an avid collector or just love local art, we’d love to see you there.

What a beautiful way to spend a Monday afternoon!
We hosted a special arty event for some local carers.

Carers give so much of their time and energy to others, so providing a dedicated space for them to unwind, tap into their creativity, and focus on themselves is incredibly meaningful.

​Our volunteers are the backbone of everything we do. They handle:
🧹 Keeping the centre clean & welcoming
🛠️ Tucking into DIY projects
🎨 Supporting our art classes & workshops
🖼️ Setting up beautiful exhibitions
​We’re always looking for more hands on deck! No professional art skills required—just a love for our community.

Just one of the things being made at Pottery Club.
A full chess set .... Or two 😆
Not all pottery is about throwing on the wheel, and at Pottery Club, we ask that you have had previous lessons before using ours.
But that doesn't stop us, come along to see what else we've made.

Pottery Club runs every week, Wednesday evening 6-9pm, and Friday morning 10-1pm
We also have a session every other Saturday.

A fun time was had at the Proggy Workshop with Britney everybody thoroughly enjoyed it with some great results🙂
