Three weeks today, it will be - an opportunity for us all to raise awareness of the rights of the UK’s 5.8 million unpaid carers.

Someone you know is a carer - but do they know it yet?

For many people, it can take years to recognise themselves as a carer. They may simply see what they do as part of being a partner, parent, family member, friend or neighbour.

We can all play a part in helping people recognise their caring role sooner, so they can access the rights, support and information available to them.

Let’s come together on Thursday 19th November, and help more people recognise that they are carers. 💜

The Big Knit is back! We’re calling on all knitters to use their… woolpower to help us smash our target! 🧶

We’re thrilled to be taking part in the Age UK and innocent Big Knit 2026-28 campaign once again. Every little hat knitted raises 30p to help us provide vital services and support to older people across Northumberland.

Another cracking morning at our Veterans Breakfast Group yesterday!

It’s always a pleasure to welcome our group members to The Round House, and to share a cuppa and enjoy a good catch-up.

Our next session takes place on Monday 30th November, 11am - 1pm, and we’d love to see you there!

The group is open to all ex-service personnel, as well as their families and carers. Whether you’re a regular or joining us for the first time, you’ll receive a warm welcome. 💙

⏰ Don’t forget - the clocks go back this weekend!

This Sunday, 25th October, at 2am, the clocks will go BACK one hour as the UK switches from British Summer Time (BST) to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Yes… the evenings will get darker earlier, but the good news is we get an extra hour in bed! 😴

Most smartphones and digital devices will update automatically, but don’t forget to change any manual clocks.
