Thank you so much to everyone that came along to Team Susie’s Walk for Life yesterday 🩷 After all the worry about the weather, it turned out to be a gorgeous day ☀️

The facilities at the football club are perfect and we are so grateful to Brian Shotton and everyone at Ashington AFC for allowing us to hold the walk there ⚽️

Thank you to the performers who gave up their time for free to keep us entertained, I’m sure you’ll agree they were all fantastic 🎤

The biggest thank you goes to everyone that took part, completed so many laps of the pitch and raised loads of money for Cancer Research UK 💕 Lots of people managed to reach half marathon distance which is great! 😲

⭐️ Lap of Light 10:00
⭐️ DJ Mark 10:30 - midnight

Participants, please arrive by 1pm at the latest to ensure you can get registered and warmed up before the walk begins 👍🏼

WALK FOR LIFE IS TOMORROW! 🩷

We are looking forward to welcoming you at Ashington AFC for a fun filled day of fundraising for Cancer Research UK 😀

Just a few reminders:

It is forecast for rain so please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Don’t forget your brollies ☂️

If you are setting up a stall please remember to bring your table 🛍️

Parking is free, there are signs asking you to pay but this only applies Monday to Friday 🚗

Dogs are not allowed at the football ground so please leave your furry friends at home 🐶

Walk for Life is a no smoking event 🚭

It doesn’t look like the great British weather is going to be on our side on Saturday, but fear not, Walk for Life will still be going ahead! 😃

Ashington AFC has great facilities which means if required the stalls and live music can be moved indoors 😅

There is large covered stand so friends and family will still be able to cheer you on from the sidelines as you complete your walk. And after a few refreshing laps you’ll be able to come inside to enjoy the entertainment 😊

Still time for the forecast to change though, keep everything crossed for sunshine!🤞🏼☀️🙏🏼😎
