Good morning everyone,

Our Senior Social is taking place today at Neston Community Youth Centre, and we are expecting a high number of attendees.

To help ensure that our older residents and those with mobility needs can access the centre safely and easily, we kindly ask that the NC*C car park is reserved for NC*C users and event attendees only today (16.06.26).

We would be grateful if anyone not visiting NC*C today could please use alternative parking arrangements where possible.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete the surveys and share their views on the need for a Banking Hub in Neston. Your support and engagement have provided valuable evidence of the community's needs.

Prior to NC*C’s campaign, an application for increased access to cash and banking services in Neston had already been submitted by Neston Town Council. Unfortunately, that application was unsuccessful.

Following advice received, we will now be using the evidence gathered through our survey and public meeting to support Neston Town Council in appealing this decision, rather than submitting a new application. Given the recent application, any new submission would be unlikely to progress and could be automatically declined.

We believe the strong evidence provided by local residents and businesses demonstrates the clear need for improved banking services in Neston, and we are committed to supporting the appeal process and working closely with local stakeholders.

We will continue to keep the community updated as matters progress. Thank you once again for your support and for helping us make the case for a Banking Hub in Neston.

Join us at Neston Angels for an informative and practical Scam Awareness Talk delivered by Laura from Age UK Cheshire's Scams Awareness & Aftercare Team.

🐻🧺 What a wonderful morning at the Teddy Bear Picnic! 🧺🐻

Today we welcomed families, little ones, carers, grandparents and some very special teddy bears for a fantastic Full Circle Teddy Bear Picnic.

There were plenty of smiles, play, activities, refreshments and opportunities for different generations to spend quality time together. It was lovely to see children proudly introducing their favourite teddies and making new friends in such a warm and welcoming environment.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event so special.

Special thanks to Koala North West and NC*C Volunteers for their support and partnership in delivering the session and helping bring families together in our community.

We love seeing families connect, play and build friendships, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back to our next Full Circle event.

🚪 Replacement External Door Required at NC*C
Neston Community Youth Centre (NC*C) is seeking quotations from experienced joiners or door companies to manufacture and install a replacement external timber door and side panel.
The existing door has suffered significant weather damage and deterioration and now requires full replacement rather than repair.

📍 Location: Neston Community Youth Centre, Burton Road, Neston, CH64 9RE

Scope of Works
Site visit to assess and measure existing door opening
Manufacture of a new external-grade timber door
Replacement of damaged side panel as required
Supply and fit suitable ironmongery (or reuse existing if appropriate)
Removal and disposal of existing door and materials
Weatherproof finish suitable for long-term external use
Ensure compliance with current building and fire safety requirements where applicable

We are looking for:
✔ Experienced joiners or specialist door manufacturers
✔ Public Liability Insurance
✔ References/examples of similar work
✔ Written quotation including timescales

The attached photographs show the current condition of the door, which has extensive rot, delamination and weather damage.
