Gale and Peeta have been at the vets for their neutering.

They came to us a while ago after being dumped by their owner after they moved out 💔

They will both spend the next few days recovering from their surgeries whilst we hope we find loving homes for them. They’re both lovely boys but will no doubt be overlooked because of their colour.

We’ve had no interest for these gorgeous dogs and sadly most are just sitting & waiting in kennels wondering why no one wants to come see them and give them a much deserved second chance 😢

Some of these dogs have waited YEARS and are more than ready for their chance at being in a home and out of kennels.

🚨‼️ 𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗗‼️🚨

We have ONE WEEK or these 2 dogs are at risk of being euthanised so they really need a lifeline to help save their lives! They would LOVE a home together as they came in together and they’re so bonded, but they could be separated if homes came along to save them both.

A little bit about them:

Entire male DDB
Approx Age 2 years old
Lovely boy, can be strong and jumps up when come out of kennels but is lovely when he calms down.
He has been amazing with all staff and great with vets on his health check.
He hasnt shown any dog aggression in and around kennels but hasnt been full tested with other dogs

Female Cane Corso
Approx age 2 years old
Lovely girl who is very sweet to walk, she has been amazing with all kennel staff and is very gentle.
She sadly has a cherry eye, but she has been amazing with the vets and is amazing when having her eye drops even.
She hasn't shown any aggression around other dogs in her kennel but hasnt been fully tested.

Both dogs would need adult only homes, and preferably pet free or has the ability to fully separate.

If anyone can help them offer them a home together or separate then please URGENTLY get in touch ASAP! We can’t magic space in our already full kennels sadly, we need YOU to open up your hearts and homes to them or one of our existing dogs to help relieve some space in our kennels.

Guinness, our sweet soft boy is really coming out of his shell!

Guinness, has been with us since October since we took over the cattery. He has always been in the background, not paying us much attention and seeming very shut down - until recently.

He’s becoming a really sweet boy, enjoying his licky treats, strokes and now showing us what a lovely boy he is.

Guinness enjoys the company of other cats. He’s always been around them at the cattery until his pen mate was recently adopted leaving him on his own and feeling a little lonely.

We’d love to get Guinness into foster, or even better what about a real forever home where he can settle and feel the love of humans 24/7! The shy ones are often overlooked but are the most rewarding.

He is around 3-4 years old and has been neutered.

Lenny update 🐾🩵

You may remember little Lenny who recently was urgently looking for a retirement home where he could live out his days after his world had turned upside down with his owner sadly passing away.

Since coming to us we’ve uncovered Lenny has a few health issues, poor teeth and a heart murmur more importantly. He’s since been put on heart medication for it, but this hasn’t fazed Lenny at all with all the lovely days out he’s been on with lots of fun, play & enrichment!

Given Lenny’s poor health and lack of successful applications, his age his amazing fosterer has decided to keep him on long term foster to avoid anymore stress & upset for him upheaving to another home. A huge thank you for giving little Lenny a great ending with some much needed stability.

We will make sure he’s cared for and loved alongside his fosterer and kept forever, we don’t give up on our animals, this is what Celandine Wood Animal Rescue is all about ❤️

🚨 URGENT APPEAL – PET FRIENDLY LANDLORD OR FOSTER NEEDED 🚨

Adam is facing homelessness after being served a no-fault eviction because his landlord is selling the property. Despite working full time in secure employment as a manager, he has been unable to find anywhere willing to accept his two beloved American Bulldogs, Princess and Legacy.

💔 “I would rather sleep on the streets than give them up. They’re my family.”

Adam is desperately searching for:
🏡 A pet-friendly landlord within around an hour of Runcorn who would consider renting to him and his dogs. Must be an entire property - Adam feels it's not fair locking up two dogs in a room in a shared house.

OR

🐾 A temporary foster home for Legacy, aged 5, if absolutely necessary.

Legacy is a loving, affectionate girl who adores cuddles and kisses once she trusts you. However, she needs:
• A PET-FREE home
• An adult-only or older children (16+) home - Paddy's standard policy for large dogs who don't currently live with kids.
• Someone experienced and patient with nervous/reactive dogs

She can be wary of strangers at first (though she was fine when she met me) and reactive around other dogs, so careful handling and quiet walks are important. Adam is heartbroken at the thought of being separated from her and this is truly a last resort.

We know compassionate people are out there. Please help us keep this family together if possible. 🙏
