🏇 Race Night 2026 – We Raised £5,000! 🎉
What an incredible night!
A huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers, sponsors, raffle prize donors, families and everyone who joined us to make Race Night 2026 such a fantastic success! It was an evening full of fun, laughter and generosity, and we're absolutely delighted to announce that the final verified amount raised is an incredible £5,000!
We couldn't have done it without each one of you.

What a weekend with Sir Kevin Sinfield!

Phil had the honour of representing Wirral MNDA at Leigh Sports Village, completing the Extra Mile alongside Sir Kevin and his fellow runners.

There were plenty of smiles, selfies and special moments along the way – including meeting Lisa Nandy MP, Sir Jason and Dame Laura Kenny, and Richard Wigglesworth. Even Labrador Sam got in on the action!

The following day in Wigan, Phil was joined by his son Andrew for another great day supporting Sir Kevin and his incredible efforts for the MND community.

A huge thank you to Shaun, Lynne and Bev for completing the Extra Mile too.

A huge thank you to The Red Lion, Parkgate, for hosting a fantastic Charity Day in support of MNDA Wirral! 💙

Special thanks to Ken Smith, Robert McLean, Stu and the wonderful band, and everyone who performed, helped organise the event or came along to support us.

It was a brilliant afternoon filled with music, food and community spirit, all helping to raise awareness and vital funds for local people affected by MND.

What a fantastic day out on the Shropshire Union Canal! 💙

The MND Association Wirral Group, in partnership with the Wirral Community Narrowboat Trust, enjoyed a trip aboard the converted narrowboat The Pot of Gold.

We started off with torrential rain, but it soon gave way to beautiful sunshine, allowing everyone to enjoy the scenery and wildlife along the canal. ☀️🦆

And we think Darren summed up the day perfectly:

“It’s been a boss day!” 💙

A special day at Blenheim Palace 💙

Our Wirral Group Leader represented the MND Association Wirral Group at a tea party alongside other volunteers from across the North West.

The occasion was held to thank volunteers for their dedication and service. Our Patron, The Princess Royal, met with volunteers and presented awards.

It was a glorious day, with guests also having the opportunity to look around the beautiful palace and grounds.

A lovely occasion celebrating the contribution of volunteers across the region. 💙
