We are a registered charity that supports people and their families when they are diagnosed with cancer.

We run our sessions at Great Hadham Country Club Herts, SG10 6JE and support people with their mental, physical and social health needs.

As we celebrate UK Volunteers' Week, everyone at Hummingbird Cancer Support Group would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers.
Your kindness, compassion, dedication, and generosity make such a difference to the lives of the people we support. Whether you're helping behind the scenes, supporting our events, offering a listening ear, fundraising, or giving your time in countless other ways, your contribution is invaluable.

Calling all Art Therapists 🎨

We're looking for a committed volunteer who loves art. Our members have loved letting their creativity flow. Many of our members found the class a calming and relaxing place to chat and express themselves.

We’d be thrilled to welcome someone to lead one of our most popular sessions, once or a few times a month.

Today we were joined by Sandra, whose career and experience with cancer has led her to create Uzima.

Uzima means ‘full of life’ in Swahili. Her goal is to unite those affected by cancer and help coach them, so that they can adjust to their lives beyond cancer.

The aim of the group is to motivate themselves and others to reach their goals, rebuild their confidence and discover themselves. All while being coached and guided by Sandra.
