Helping Herts

Helping Herts Helping Herts creates an environment for collective impact to thrive.

Working with carefully selected partners to deliver for the children and young people of Hertfordshire. Helping Herts is a community charity campaign focusing on offering much-needed support to causes in Hertfordshire. Our cause for 2023 is Child Welfare and we will be working with a number of different charities across the county who provide much needed support to children and young people in Her

tfordshire. Our campaign will celebrate the fantastic work these charities do for our communities in Hertfordshire and at the same time celebrate our wonderful county, its people, its businesses, and all the wonderful things to do here. Helping Herts is sponsored by Rotary, an accumulation of many Hertfordshire clubs that focus on supporting local causes. It is supported by Gordon Morrison and the Chaldean Group of Companies, who have extensive experience over the last twenty years supporting people in great need.

We are proud to say that so far, the team has raised £31,800 for the End-to-End Walking Challenge 🎉

On the 23rd May, co‑founders Gordon Morrison BEM and Jim Tatchell completed their incredible 7‑day, 90 mile fundraising walk from Tring to Bishop’s Stortford!

Guided by Ian Hirst, Deputy Chairman of The Friends of the Hertfordshire Way and supported our 12 charity partners, corporate partners and friends. We are incredibly proud of all of those who took part in the walk and helped to raise such vital funds.

A fantastic collaborative effort for a cause that means a great deal to the communities we support!

We would also like to give a huge shout out and heartfelt thank you to Ceres Rural, our headline sponsor of our event. Their support will play a vital role in supporting children, young people and communities across Hertfordshire.

We’re proud to be taking part in Volunteers’ Week 2026 🎉

This year marks 42 years of saying thank you to all volunteers across the UK who give their time to support others and strengthen communities.

This volunteers week, we're encouraging you to help shine a spotlight on the people making a real difference in Hertfordshire by nominating your Herts Hero.

A Herts Hero is someone whose dedication, kindness, and commitment are creating a lasting positive impact in our local communities.

Every community has someone who makes a difference.
The coach who gives up their evenings.
The fundraiser who never seeks recognition.
The person who always shows up.

Head over to our website to submit your nomination today and help recognise those who go above and beyond: www.helpingherts.com/hertfordshirehero

Hertfordshire's very own Charity Met Gala ✨

We were proud to attend the recent fashion show hosted and led by the students of University of Hertfordshire.

The night displayed the incredible design and technical talents the students have, all whilst raising vital funds for Helping Herts.

Through their efforts the students were able to raise an incredible £1,300! This event truly demonstrated that the next generation of fashion leaders are as compassionate as they are talented.

These funds will go directly toward improving the lives of children and young people across the county, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to thrive.

A special thank you to:
