Helping Herts

Helping Herts Helping Herts creates an environment for collective impact to thrive.

Working with carefully selected partners to deliver for the children and young people of Hertfordshire. Helping Herts is a community charity campaign focusing on offering much-needed support to causes in Hertfordshire. Our cause for 2023 is Child Welfare and we will be working with a number of different charities across the county who provide much needed support to children and young people in Her

tfordshire. Our campaign will celebrate the fantastic work these charities do for our communities in Hertfordshire and at the same time celebrate our wonderful county, its people, its businesses, and all the wonderful things to do here. Helping Herts is sponsored by Rotary, an accumulation of many Hertfordshire clubs that focus on supporting local causes. It is supported by Gordon Morrison and the Chaldean Group of Companies, who have extensive experience over the last twenty years supporting people in great need.

Child abuse remains a growing concern across Hertfordshire, with abuse and neglect continuing to have a negative impact on children and young people both locally and nationally.

Protecting children is not the responsibility of one organisation, one professional or one service. It is something we all have a part to play in.

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported and protected, and their welfare must always be our paramount consideration. By coming together as a community, we can help create a safer Hertfordshire where every child and young person has the opportunity to thrive.

At Helping Herts, we work with local businesses, communities and frontline charities to raise vital funds that support children and young people across the county. If you're ready to join and make a difference, get into contact with us today.

🚨 If a child or young person is in immediate danger, left alone, or is missing, you should call the police.

Support Helping Herts and help bring back light into the lives of children and young people 🧡

With today’s eclipse temporarily casting us into darkness, it’s a powerful reminder that darkness can surround many of our children and young people day-to-day lives.

More than 25,000 children across Hertfordshire are living in poverty, while hospital admissions for youth mental health are above the national average.

Leading to a significant increase in homelessness, with a 96% increase in statutory homelessness and a 165% increase in homeless households living in temporary accommodation.

But behind every statistic is a child, young person or family who needs support.
