What a fantastic day.
Today, on the inspiration of one of our members, a couple of us got out and met up with a couple of lads from Leicester Round Table to feed the homeless.
This is something that's important to our table as this was unfortunately the life of one of our members for years
This morning our member cooked up cajun chicken burritos and homemade flapjacks and then handed that out with crisps, fruit and water to anybody in need today and making that vital difference to people who feel isolated in society already

We also took 2 of our children along and they were fantastic.
Compassion and empathy comes second nature to children and my god they showed it.
Couldn't be prouder of the 2 boys today.

This September, The Melton Mowbray Round Table will be taking on the legendary Skinflint Rally – driving over 3,500 miles across Europe in just 5 days in cars worth £500 or less.

This year we're going all out with a Toy Story fancy dress theme, because we're going "To Infinity and Beyond!" as we raise money for the incredible The Harley Jae Trust ⭐🚀

📍 Route: Nice via Dijon & Turin and back.
🚗 Cars: £500 or less
🛣️ Distance: 3,500+ miles
📅 Time: 5 days
💙 Cause: Supporting local children and families through The Harley Jae Trust

Every mile, challenge, breakdown, wrong turn and laugh along the way is all in aid of helping children with life-limiting and life-changing conditions.

🚗💙 Skinflint Rally Team Update! 💙🚗

We're making great progress as preparations continue for this year's Skinflint Rally, all in aid of the incredible The Harley Jae Trust.

We've been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for the adventure ahead, and we're delighted to announce that we've welcomed two new sponsors to the team!

A massive thank you to Journey Energy Solutions and Quiktools for coming on board and supporting our fundraising efforts. Your generosity helps us get one step closer to our goal of raising as much money as possible for an amazing cause.

Last night, members of Melton Mowbray Round Table headed over to visit our fellow Tablers at Swadlincote Round Table for a fantastic evening of co****le! 🏆🌽
The event brought together Tablers from Newark and District Round Table , Leicester, Ashby Round Table , Melton Mowbray and Swadlincote, making for a brilliant night of friendship, competition and plenty of laughs.

There were plenty of wayward throws, a few surprisingly good shots, and lots of great banter throughout the evening. A huge thank you to the Swadlincote lads for being such fantastic hosts and putting on a cracking event.

Round Table is all about meeting new people, making lifelong friends, and trying things you might not otherwise get the chance to do.

A great social evening tonight for the Melton Mowbray Round Table !

This evening we had the opportunity to spend time with Rutland Sword , learning about their martial arts and sword-fighting disciplines. It was a fantastic experience, giving us the chance to try something new, challenge ourselves, and have plenty of laughs along the way.

A huge thank you to Rutland Sword for hosting us and sharing their skills and knowledge. We all had a brilliant time and came away with a newfound respect for the art and discipline involved.
