Happy Bike Week! 🚲

Bike Week is the UK’s biggest celebration of cycling and demonstrates how cycling can make everyday life better for people across the country.

But did you know? Women are significantly less likely to cycle than men, and for migrant women the barriers can be even greater. Language, confidence, access to bikes, and a lack of safe, supportive spaces are all factors that contribute to lower participation.

Europia believes that everybody should have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of cycling. That's why we're excited to be working with Transport for Greater Manchester to offer free Learn to Ride sessions for migrant women in a welcoming and supportive environment. 💗🚺

Whether you've never ridden a bike before or want to build your confidence, we'd love to welcome you.

Details to be announced soon 🚴‍♀️

Europia is delighted to invite you to a celebration of Eastern European and Jewish culture and cuisine as part of The Great Get Together 2026 🎉

Following our culture and cuisine workshops, this special event brings everyone together for a grand finale celebrating the traditions that enrich communities. Expect delicious food samples, opportunities to learn about cultural traditions and customs and the chance to speak to local organisations working together to keep Salford residents safe. 🤝🥟

We would love to showcase the incredible diversity of Salford, so attendees are warmly encouraged to wear their traditional dress and celebrate their culture with us.

This event is funded by Salford CVS as part of the Community Cohesion Project, supporting opportunities for residents to come together, learn from one another, and build stronger connections.

Every June, Bulgaria’s Rose Valley blooms as the famous Rose Festival begins. 🌹

Held in the town of Kazanlak, the festival celebrates Bulgaria’s rose-growing tradition and the harvesting of the Damask rose used in cosmetics around the globe. In fact, 70% of the world's rose oil comes from Kazanlak's Rose Valley!

The festival is marked by traditional folk music and dancing, rose-picking rituals, parades and the crowning of the Rose Queen. 👑

This year's festivities begin today, on 6th June. Happy Rose Festival! 🇧🇬

This Volunteers' Week, we're celebrating the people who make our work possible.

Swipe to hear from some of our amazing volunteers about what volunteering with Europia means to them, alongside members of our team who volunteer for other organisations and causes across the world! 🤲🌎

Whatever the cause, each volunteer story shows the power of people coming together to make a difference.

Interested in volunteering yourself?

Come and meet us at the Manchester Community Central Volunteer Fair on St Ann's Square this Saturday. We'll be there alongside many other fantastic charities and community organisations, ready to chat about volunteering opportunities and how you can get involved.

We'd love to see you there! 💌
