Community Fun Day at Annie Lee's Park, Gorton!

From creative workshops, music, performances, delicious food, family activities, and games, it was fantastic to see the community come together and enjoy such a fun-filled afternoon.A huge thank you to everyone who came along, took part, and helped make the day special.

🌺 Manchester Boishakhi Mela 2026 🌺

What an incredible celebration of culture, community, and togetherness!

Today, thousands of people came together at Manchester Boishakhi Mela to celebrate the Bengali New Year with delicious food, vibrant performances, traditional arts, family fun, and a true sense of community spirit.

Better We were honoured the Community Champion Award, recognising individuals who make a positive difference in our communities through their dedication and service.

This mela was more than just a celebration. It was a platform that brought Bangladeshi organisations, community groups, businesses, artists, volunteers, and families together under one roof, showcasing the strength and unity of our community.

A heartfelt thank you to the organisers, volunteers, performers, sponsors, and everyone who worked tirelessly day and night behind the scenes to make this event such a remarkable success. Your hard work, passion, and commitment made this possible.

Without a doubt, this was one of the most memorable and successful Boishakhi celebrations Manchester has ever seen.

Together we celebrated our heritage, strengthened our connections, and created beautiful memories for future generations.
