Did you notice lots of witches and wizards flying around the park today? We were delighted to welcome 25 students to our broomstick making and flying school.
They all had the opportunity to create their own magical broomstick, before heading out of the woods to practice their agility, emergency stops, take off and landing skills, arm-ology and more with our very own Park View 4U witches and wizard.
Congratulations everyone for graduating flying school and celebrating with campfire hot chocolate and spooky marshmallows.
Thank you also to our incredible volunteers Kathy, Sylvia and Dave the Dark Wizard for bringing the magic to today's halloween fun.

WAHOOOOO!!! We did it. Another OUTSTANDING It's Your Neighbourhood Award from RHS North West In Bloom.
That makes it 10 years in a row for our gardening club volunteers. What an achievement.

We were delighted to collect our award today at Bolton Stadium, it is a credit to the determination of our wonderful volunteers who join us all year round, whatever the weather and have created a thriving green space for people and wildlife.

We don't do it for the awards but because it brings people together, it is good for our mental and physical wellbeing and improves our local environment. That said, it is lovely to hear that the RHS judges have recognised the efforts made by our incredible volunteers for the benefit of our community.

Well done to everyone involved. Rachel, Pauline and Kathy represented our group today and were thrilled to have their award presented by poet and performer Nathan Parker, whose words summed up the ethos of our charity, to bring people together outdoors to connect with nature. We are hopeful that he will perform some of his inspirational poems in our community garden next year, watch this space.

Congratulations to everyone else who received awards today, especially our friends and partners from across The Fylde.

With Storm Boelo already hitting the Fylde cost Park View junior parkrun have taken the wise decision to cancel tomorrow's event. Stay warm and safe everyone and we look forward to welcoming you back next Sunday.

With storm Boelo threatening winds in excess of 50mph and a weather warning in place, the difficult decision has been made to cancel tomorrow’s junior parkrun for the safety of all our runners, volunteers and spectators.

We hope to return next Sunday when we will be launching our new course!

Please be aware that there are yellow and amber weather warnings for strong winds and rain across the Fylde from midday today until Sunday evening.
We would advise anyone visiting QEII Park View Playing Fields this weekend to avoid our woodland areas and trees.
Take care everyone. 💙
