Well it was controversial, and rather unattractive....but it looks like it's gone!

Even this page - a huge supporter of investment and local enterprise - found the 18+ amusement centre on Orchard Road hard to accept.

It's now empty and shuttered, so let's hope something better fills the premises soon.

Who remembers The Squires Gate Holiday Camp, which later became Pontins?

Did you spend time at the Lemon Tree pub there?

The camp was then refered to as Blackpool Pontins, even though it was in St Annes on Sea.

At one time, it was a very popular and aspiration place to book a break.

It's now a smart new housing estate on the edge of the town.

The countdown is on to one of the BEST weekends of the year to visit St Annes on Sea....or live here!

Our annual St Annes Carnival is always a joyful, community event, especially Saturday's colourful parade (see parade route below).

The dates are: 10th, 11th & 12th July 2026.

The market is today (Thursday 4th) 9am to 1pm. Please support it, and local shops.

Rumour has it Zekos on Park Road is back in business..
under new owners perhaps?

Thank you for providing such a long and valuable service to our community and visitors.

A pocket of peace in one of the best parks in Lancashire, Ashton Gardens.

This Grade II listed 10-acre greenspace is at the heart of St Annes on Sea, and minutes away from the beach.

It has a mix of heritage features and modern amenities, including a great children's adventure park and the popular cafe and event space The Pavilion, Ashton Gardens.

For many, the best spot is the Rose Garden, or the tranquil rock garden and water features area.

The War Memorial is considered one of the most significant in the UK, as it depicts a "shell shocked" soldier and the women and children left behind.
