The FareShare food larder at the Nedderman Centre in New Milton is a great example of a community coming together to make a real difference.

It’s a true team effort, with FareShare providing the food, New Forest Basics Bank volunteers supporting the service on the ground, and community volunteers working alongside them to keep everything running smoothly. Together, these local services are helping ensure vital support reaches those who need it most.

We’re very grateful for our volunteer Tricia (pictured below) from Citizens Advice New Forest, who attends the larder every Wednesday with another volunteer Jerry. Tricia is a valued part of the team and a familiar, friendly face for local residents, always ready to offer advice, guidance and support whenever it’s needed. Her presence at the larder helps ensure people can access not only food and essentials, but also the information and reassurance that can make a real difference to their lives.

Do you heat your home using heating oil? 🔥

A reminder that we’re working with Citizens Advice East Hampshire to support Hampshire residents who rely on heating oil and are struggling with increased costs.

As well as help towards the cost of heating oil for eligible residents, Citizens Advice can also provide general advice on managing energy costs and wider finances.

This support is part of the Crisis Resilience Fund, which helps households facing financial pressure with essential costs.
