FREE Family Fun Day at New Milton Rugby Club – Dinosaurs, Wrestling & More!

This weekend is ‘The New Forest Family Fun Day’ at the New Milton Rugby Club Normans Way, Ashley, BH25 5FN.
Featuring dinosaurs, a dog show, live wrestling, an inflatable village, over 35 market stalls including the NFFU stand where you can Meet our Events team. Entry and the sports fair are all completely free.

Date and Time: Saturday, June 13th, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Highlights:
Entertainment: Live wrestling, circus skills, live music, and choir performances
Activities: Dinosaur walkabouts, dog shows, remote control car racing, and a land train
Sports: A free Sports Fair allowing kids to try various local sports.
Food & Drink: A BBQ, bar, and sweet treats

This Fun Day is entirely organised and run by volunteers, and we are hugely grateful for their time and hard work.

Helping Ukraine Grassroots Support - HUGS - is not a large organisation.
They are a team led by an incredible Canadian father and son based in Kharkiv, working tirelessly to support Ukraine and its people.
Last month they partnered with NFFU for the first time, to manage the inward flow of our aid, receiving and distributing it onwards to NFFU's nine other partner NGOs across the country.
Load 74 was consigned to them, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the job they have done.
This is what real teamwork looks like.
People thousands of miles apart, working together with one shared purpose: helping Ukraine.

NEW FOREST FOR UKRAINE - BEGINS LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME!

A huge thank you to our new landlord and neighbour, SPACE+ Storage, for supporting New Forest for Ukraine by allowing us the continued use of our existing premises completely free of charge. This generosity has enabled us to run our hub without worry this summer, sorting, packing and shipping aid to families in Ukraine.

Targeting a September opening, SPACE+ will be offering modern, tech-enabled self-storage in units ranging from 16 to 250 sqft. If you have a need for storage please consider SPACE+ - tel 01590 466783 for more information and reservations.

We would also like to give special thanks to the Brearley Building crew who have been drafted in to carry out construction work to our premises. Your hard work and the care you are taking not to disturb our charity operations are greatly appreciated.

Sadly the section of the premises we currently occupy will in due course be put up for sale, which means New Forest for Ukraine will need to relocate to our next (our fifth since starting) sorting hub / warehouse..

If anyone knows of any suitable premises. ideally in or around Ampress, that may be available after September 2026, we would be very pleased to hear from you.

What isn't free are the costs of getting the incredible donated aid from the UK to Ukraine. Transport, fuel, and operational expenses add up quickly, and we need to raise thousands of pounds every month to keep the aid moving.

So whats the best way to support NFFU financially?

Many of our wonderful supporters have become Friends of NFFU by signing up to make a regular monthly donation. It can be as little as £3.99 per month (which becomes £4.99 with Gift Aid) or more if you're able. These regular donations provide the reliable income that allows us to plan ahead, book trucks, cover essential overheads, and ensure aid reaches the people who need it most.
