Wuffa Viking and Saxon Reenactment Society

Wuffa Viking and Saxon Reenactment Society Wuffa ...... feature in events and living history displays around East Anglia. We cover the Dark Age Period that includes Saxons and Vikings.

We cover the Dark Age Period that includes Saxons and Vikings.....we also hope to get involved with other groups including Saxon and Romano-British. We are multi - era as we feel we don't not want to be 'too exclusive' and therefore be attractive and interesting to more! Many of our members are experienced in re-enactment....many are novices...we welcome all.......male and female....any ages. Atho

ugh you do need to be 18 to take part in any public combat with other groups, younger members are welcome to take part in combat at our own shows if they are acompanied by a carer or parent...... non-combatants can also take part in living history or have non combatant roles at our events.....such as camp followers, cooks, musicians, hostages and royalty (in event scenarios). We are actively seeking events to attend and filming opportunities.

Ever wanted to join Wuffa but not sure how? Here’s a quick guide to help!!

- Check Wuffa social media to find out training dates and places.

- Have a think about whether you would like to try combat (you don’t have to make a decision straight away or you can do a bit of both)

- If you want to try combat, wear comfy clothes you can move around in easily.

- If you want to try craft or living history, message the group and they will let you know what’s best to bring and when.

- The first 4 sessions are FREE so there will be no subs to pay on your first evening.

- If you have any questions, just message!! As far as Vikings and Saxons go, we are quite a friendly bunch!!

We are having a week off from meet the members Monday. Coming up next we will be focusing on our junior members and trying to get them to sit still and answer questions is harder than breaking through our shield wall.

We want to take this opportunity to let you know that Wuffa is back on TikTok. There will be regular posts and we will try to go live on there too. Please give us a follow so you don’t miss any content.

How to cook a Saxon or a Viking:
-Send them to the Norfolk Tank Museum
-Set the temperature to at least 28 celsius
-Leave to bake for a bank holiday weekend

Seriously though, what a fantastic weekend!!!
Wuffa didn’t let the hot weather stop them entertaining the crowds in the arena and in camp.

A special shout out to our junior members Gunnar and Thorvald for making their debut appearances in the combat displays. Both boys showed great enthusiasm and courage. Definitely two warriors to watch out for in the future!!

Thank you to for such an epic weekend!
