For today’s Activities Unlimited session the young people got to enjoy the sunshine at the allotments ☀️ They worked well together to de-weed the stones and completed some autumnal crafts. After lunch the young people planted Crocus bulbs around the allotments ready for Spring flowering ☺️ And then to end the day we took a trip to a local park to take in the nature in our area before a quick play ⭐️

Today’s Activities Unlimited session was all about Autumn 🍂

The young people spent the morning deciding on a recipe, writing down their ingredient list and then went shopping for it all. They prepared and cooked it all as a group, then enjoyed it as part of their lunch 🥙

After lunch they learnt all about Autumn, what changes we see in the weather, what things they start to see that’s different to Summer and special events during the time of year. We discussed how we harvest the crops this time of year and close the allotments down for winter, covering the beds to protect them from frost. They then enjoyed some Autumnal crafting and a drawing / colouring competition 🎃🍁
