Registrations now open for Impactful Parents East Lothian programme:

IMPACTFUL PARENTS

Impactful Parents is a creative employability programme that’s open to unemployed and economically inactive parents who live in East Lothian. Can I just check that you are either unemployed or economically inactive (this means you are not working and are not actively seeking work)? Do you attend college? You mentioned you learned about the programme through the college.

Sessions will run on Thursdays, 10am-1pm, starting Thu 17th Sep. The sessions will run in The Fraser Centre, 3a Winton Place, Tranent, EH33 1AF. The course will run for 12 weeks, finishing on Thu 10th Dec.

At the weekly sessions, participants will have fun trying new artistic activities, and they will also receive 1-1 support and guidance to work towards next steps in their career paths. We can help identify job opportunities, support with college applications, help with research into training programmes, and more.

One of the main positive aspects of the programme is that participants will meet like-minded people, build their social connections, and build their confidence and employability skills. As this is a programme for parents to focus on themselves, we ask that no children are brought to the sessions.

The programme is free to attend, and Impact Arts will provide reimbursement for travel expenses. Refreshments will also be available.

A celebration of conservation storytelling, showcasing inspiring films about people and communities taking action to protect nature.

Last day of Summer holiday club 2026 🔫💧

Thank you to Longniddry Bowling Club for letting us borrow the hose for our water fight.

Thank you to everyone who filled our program up this summer and to our young volunteer Ethan for helping out!

Staff are now off until Monday for a well earned rest 💗🩵

A day full of fun 🩵

Fantastic visit from Lothian & Borders Fire & Rescue Service Musselburgh Fire Station SFRS Midlothian Eastlothian Borders A huge thank you for visiting our holiday club today! The children had an amazing time exploring the fire engine, seeing how the equipment and water hoses work, and learning all about the important job you do. Your informative talks were engaging, fun, and educational, and the children loved it! We really appreciate you taking the time to inspire and teach them 🚒 🔥 💧
