🏳️‍⚧️ TransGenerations Group 🏳️‍⚧️

Between the months of October and March, the TransGenerations group met to talk, draw and write together, collectively creating a Time-Capsule that will remain archived at QUEERCIRCLE in the form of a toolbox-shaped piñata 🧰✨

The toolbox was chosen because the stories and objects hidden inside represent the tools needed to build a trans future together.

Sessions were led by Lu Wilson and , with guest facilitators Africa Barrero-Alexander and .

The Piñata Archive was designed and made with 💫

🗺️ Deconstructing Maps with Sonia E. Barrett
📅 6 June | 2 - 5 PM

What does it mean to de-centre ourselves and attend to everything that flows in the landscape? How can we attend to the desires of air, water and microbes in the soil? And what might they desire?

Join the latest young people’s workshop led by artist , exploring how we are connected to the environments around us through deconstructing and remaking maps ✂️🌱

Open to 16 - 25 year olds, this workshop is a space to experiment with mapping, imagine new pathways, and spend an afternoon in creative exploration, collective learning, and connection with q***r peers and allies 💛

Participants under 16 are welcome to attend if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Poetry is Not A Luxury
🎤 An Open Mic Night for Black Q***rs & Q***r POC 💥
🗓️ June 11 | 6.30 - 9 PM

Using Audre Lorde's words as a prompt, you are invited to an informal evening of readings and open mic. Poetry, Lorde asserts, 'forms the quality of the light within which we predicate our hopes and dreams toward survival and change.'

Thank you to everyone who joined the workshop 'Remapping Masculinity' with Sega and Kenya 💚

We began in conversation, sharing reflections on how masculinity is shaped by safety, passing and the pressures of cisheteronormativity. From there, we moved into making, using collage and Dada poetry to explore new ways of understanding and expressing masculinity.

Together, we started to imagine forms that feel more expansive, more self-defined and rooted in q***r futures.

Keep an eye out for more workshops to be announced soon 👀
