What a wonderful time of discovery across our schools!

Children at Greenacres enjoyed a fascinating visit from School Food Matters Honey Bee Beekeeper. Meanwhile, a Timbercroft parent shared insights into her career in art, and Hook Lane's Reception children embraced outdoor learning at Forest School.

A fun week of curiosity, creativity and hands-on learning!

Our first week back after half term has been a busy and exciting one, with students out and about enjoying a range of fantastic learning experiences!

Some of Hook Lane's pupils spent the day exploring and discovering at the Science Museum, while Greenacres students visited Hall Place to learn all about the wonderful world of plants. Meanwhile, our younger pupils at Ebbsfleet got outdoors to build their confidence and develop their football skills.

It's been a brilliant start to our final term of the school year – and yes, we can't quite believe we're saying that either!

100 days in - and what a start it's been!

Joining a new organisation is about so much more than learning a role - it's about meeting new people, building confidence, finding your place, and hopefully, enjoying the journey!

Ellie joined us back in February as Central Services & Marketing Assistant and has been such a fantastic addition to our team already, so we thought we'd share how the experience for her has been so far.

And if you'd like to join Maritime, don't forget to follow us here, and check out our opportunities on our website and at My New Term - we'd love to hear from you!

It’s time to wish our Maritime community a well-deserved break. Before you go, we’ve got a little 'homework' for you…

Make sure you take some time to do something fun and joyful together over the break - something that brings a smile to your face, just like this super-cute trio at Brooklands Primary.

Enjoy the time making memories - and we can't wait to see you in term 6!

Brooklands, Timbercroft, and Danecourt have been busy fitting in as much fun and engaging learning as possible this week before the half-term break.

The talented artists in Brooklands have amazed us with their imaginative drawings, inspired by their recent visit to the local temple. Timbercroft has been getting wonderfully creative, exploring and experimenting with a variety of different materials in their mixed media class. Meanwhile, Danecourt has made the most of the beautiful weather, finally showing its best side, enjoying a fantastic Sports Day together

We are proud to showcase what some of our pupils across the schools have been up to this week, demonstrating how children can thrive through collaborative learning. Ebbsfleet Primary School and Greenacres have partnered with other schools and the local council to create exciting opportunities for pupils to learn, grow, and work together.

Meanwhile, over at Barnsole Primary School, KS1 pupils have been busy baking and no doubt creating a little extra washing up along the way!

“Staff genuinely want the best for pupils and for each other - there’s a real culture of support.”

After starting her career in advertising, Lauren Grant made the move into education as a Learning Support Assistant. Today, she’s the Learning & Teaching Hub Lead for the Greenwich South Hub.

In our latest Staff Stories interview, Lauren shares her journey into education, the lightbulb moments that shaped her career, and what it’s really like to be part of Maritime.

Ahead of SATs week, we just wanted to tell each and every one of our Year 6 children how completely brilliant we think you are.

It's completely normal to feel a bit nervous (after all, nerves show we care and that something matters to us), but we know you'll be fantastic. And - just like your teachers and families - we're so proud of you just for showing up and trying your best.

Remember: you've got this.

We’d better start building our very own trophy room!

A week full of winners at Maritime Academy Trust Schools! It started on the field, with Nightingales’ Purple and Red teams out in full force, each proudly picking up medals, while Bligh’s Year 4 hockey team were crowned champions. Meanwhile, Barnsole’s bookworm winners collected their well-earned prizes after showing their fantastic love of reading. Congratulations to all of the amazing pupils on their brilliant achievements!

Before we all head off to enjoy the upcoming long weekend, take a look at what some of our schools have been up to. Timbercroft has been full of energy and discovery across the younger year groups. Hook Lane has enjoyed dressing up in Viking costumes for their Big Outcome in May, while Bligh has been making the most of the occasional British sunshine on their transport trip. Have a lovely bank holiday weekend!
