BREAKING: Almost 40 senior faith leaders have signed our open letter to Andy Burnham, urging him to rethink the UK's refugee and asylum policy.

Together, we're also warning the new PM that the UK’s current approach risks damaging social cohesion.

Our signatories represent Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities across the country. At a time of rising antisemitism, Islamophobia, and other hate crimes, it’s more important than ever that we continue to stand united in solidarity.

BREAKING: Faith leaders write letter to the new Prime Minister on refugees

An interfaith coalition brought together by our friends HIAS + JCORE has written to Andy Burnham, asking the new government to change its approach to refugee and asylum policy.

This includes:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Fully reinstating family reunion rights
🔀 Reversing the 30-month protection model
🛣️ Returning to a five-year route to settlement

Signatories included leaders from the Baptist Union of Great Britain The Methodist Church and United Reformed Church.

As Christians, we are called to love our neighbours and welcome the stranger, so we have a duty to speak out when our systems fail to do this.
