IFK Kyokushin The official page of International Federation of Karate (Kyokushin) The International Federation badge has as its central symbol a rising wave.

The International Federation of Karate was established in 1992 by Hanshi Steve Arneil and has branches through- out the world. This symbol is taken from Saiha Kata. This wave symbolizes the fact that no matter how great a task or problem before you with determination and perseverance you can rise and overcome all obstacles.

It is with great sadness we have heard the news of the passing of Kaicho Hatsuo Royama today.

Kaicho and Hanshi spent time together in the early sixties at the honbu dojo in Japan and during the period of the KWU prior to the pandemic Kaicho always referred to our two organisations as IFKan.

The world of martial arts has lost another great karateka and founder.

On behalf of our IFK Board we send our condolences to his family and to everyone in the Kyokushinkan .
