Woolwich Front Room Woolwich Front Room is a space in the centre of SE18 run by GCDA. It's a space to celebrate our community.

It's a place for everyone to enjoy: cafe serving handmade food, art gallery showing local art, rooms to hire, activities to take part in, and more.

Every Friday you can join us for our Knit n' Natter, or you can crochet too! Drop in at 1pm, no need to book in advance....

Every Friday you can join us for our Knit n' Natter, or you can crochet too! Drop in at 1pm, no need to book in advance. Beginners and experienced knitters are welcome.
We can supply you with the basics for use in our venue, or you can bring your own equipment and yarns.
We also have lots of delicious drinks and handmade food for lunch, and cakes too, that you can purchase to feast on whilst you are knitting and nattering. Our chef makes yummy things!
We are open between 10:30am and 4:30pm.

We have lots of board games to choose from, or bring your own!
You can even get one free cuppa too!
We have lots of other delicious handmade food for brunch or lunch, and cakes too, that you can purchase to feast on as well. Our chef makes yummy things!

We are open Tuesday to Friday, between 10:30am and 4:30pm.

Looking for something to do on a Wednesday? You could join us at Woolwich Front Room for our Embroidery and Mending Club, it runs 1pm to 3pm. It’s the perfect place to learn a new skill, hone your experience, as well as creating something new or upcycling your clothing, mending it is so much better than binning it!

If you are interested in finding out more about volunteering then come and chat to a member of the Volunteer Centre Greenwich team and a Volunteer Advisor on Wednesdays from 11am to 1pm at the Woolwich Front Room. We are pleased to host our second exhibition by local artist Fatma Durmush at Woolwich Front Room. Fatma says
'My art work is collage and abstraction. Because of covid my art work has become more abstraction and less figurative. I enjoy colour, I continue to paint at night and realise it looks different during the day. I make art for the sake of making art'.

Looking for something to do on a Tuesday? You could join us at Woolwich Front Room for some artful wellbeing, it’s unstructured, you get to use our pens and paper and chill. Creating art, even colouring-in, is good for your mind.

No need to book in advance for Arts & Crafts, just turn up, it runs from 10:30am to midday every Tuesday.
