✨ LISTENING IN MOTION ✨
Sound • Movement • Attention
What becomes possible when we learn to listen more deeply as we move?

Bringing together contemporary dance, yoga and live music, Listening in Motion explores the relationship between movement, sound and attention. Through shared practice, we investigate how the body learns when awareness is tuned to ourselves, our environment and those moving alongside us.
Guided by Stephen Pelton, Ayanna Prevatt-Goldstein and Anna Gillespie, this workshop offers a space to cultivate presence, curiosity and connection through embodied listening.
👂 Listen deeply.
✨ Move consciously.

Over the course of five immersive hours, participants of “Body Weather, A Guide to Embodied Awareness” explored the dynamic relationship between body, mind and environment through movement, attention, touch, improvisation and collective inquiry. Together, we cultivated deeper awareness, recognized habitual patterns of thought and movement, and opened space for new possibilities of perception, connection and change.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined the workshop for their openness, curiosity and generosity throughout the process. A special thank you to .bwa for guiding us through this rich and inspiring experience, sharing decades of research and practice with such depth and care.

These images capture just a few moments from a day dedicated to exploring what it means to be fully present in and with the world.

Interested in continuing the journey? Join us for the next workshop in the Reforesting the Body programme. Follow the link in our bio to learn more and register.

Frank Van de Ven has spent more than 30 years exploring movement through Body Weather, a practice rooted in the work of Min Tanaka that sees the body as constantly changing and deeply connected to its environment.

More than a technique, Body Weather is a physical and sensory exploration where movement emerges through listening, perception, and the relationship between body, space, and energy.

On May 31, we’ll have the chance to experience this practice in a special workshop with Frank van de Ven. Reserve your spot through the link in bio.

Today we shared a deeply inspiring experience at the Skinner Releasing Technique workshop at Acosta Dance Centre.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and embraced the process and a very special thank you to our teacher, Mary-Clare McKenna whose generosity, clarity, and imaginative guidance made this experience truly meaningful.

This workshop is part of Reforesting the Body, a programme that views the body as a living ecosystem: constantly regenerating, interconnected, and full of potential for renewal and transformation.

✨ We continue growing together.

On March 25th, our AATH Programme students (16+ & 18+) took the stage for “Tres Caminos, One Stage”, a powerful showcase of growth, dedication, and artistic identity.

Each piece reflected a unique journey, shaped by months of training, exploration, and commitment. From first steps in the studio to the energy of live performance, these young artists reminded us what it means to move with purpose.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us that evening and supported these young performers. And a special thank you to those who generously and voluntarily donate, your support makes this programme possible and keeps these opportunities alive.

Here are a few glimpses from a night where passion met performance.

As shares in this interview, the Yoruba spiritual tradition connects deeply with the essence of Reforesting the Body: remembering the body as landscape, as territory, as ecosystem. Beginning this journey with a powerful Orisha like sets the tone for a process rooted in somatic awareness, personal memory and respect for the cultural origins of the practice.

Together, we will contribute to a collective choreographic creation grounded in presence, ancestry and embodied ecology.
