London-based Jo' Buddy's Stompin' Four-lineup have been honing their skills for a few years, performing in London and some other parts in the UK, always with a great reception.

The band's self-sufficient music is an uplifting melting pot of ragtime, swing, jump blues, New Orleans R&B, rock & roll, zydeco,
and Caribbean/West Indian grooves, created to celebrate life and naturally keep the dance floor hot throughout the show.
Don't miss it!
“Jo’ Buddy has paid his dues learning a variety of blues styles. Now his music is best described as Jo’ Buddy music. It’s exciting and innovative.” Mike Garner, BLUES NEWS, NEW ZEALAND

We’re looking forward to having the Mottingham Belles join us at our Summer Festival on Saturday 8th August.
Early bird tickets for Saturday are now sold out, standard price tickets are available for £8 each, under 12s free entry from https://www.shrewsburyhouse.org/events/summer-festival-2026

After making their live debut at Mottingham’s Bat & Ball and appearing on Maritime Radio with .r.radio this year, the duo have joined together as The Mottingham Belles. Raised in a music-filled household by their dad, a former punk rock musician, they’re bringing their shared passion and unique sound to the stage.
Music has always been at the heart of their lives. Maria’s love for performing began at Shrewsbury House over 20 years ago, taking to the stage in ballet, tap, modern dance and musical theatre. Olivia, a talented self-taught musician, picked up the guitar at 13, inspired by bands like Radiohead and Foo Fighters.
