We love working with textured knits—cables, lace and beautifully simple solid colours. Small projects make perfect gifts and our Satu “Fairy Tale” Snood has quickly become a favourite! It’s been knitted several times now for testing and gifting, and we’re excited to share that the pattern is officially available.

Another gift knit finished! Recipient chose a beautiful 💚 color for her by . So happy it fits perfectly, even sleeves are now both the same length 😉!

👉🏼A valuable lesson learnt: If you like to knit both sleeves at the same time make sure both pairs of needles are the same material (no mixing metal and wood!) and the same size obviously... The material of your needles can impact your tension.

We do love a merino + mohair blend, resulting in a very luxurious feel and look. Sadly the camera didn't capture the golden undertone of the green. Grateful to the staff at for the color combo advice. 🙏

🐑Bonus Tip: If you ever need to unravel mohair, freeze the piece first. It works like a charm!

Call for test knitters!

We have been working hard on our first pattern for a top with the Coconut collection wool from . The result is jumper. It is knitted from sleeve to sleeve and comes in 3 sizes S-M-L with plenty of positive ease. It is a perfect midseason or winter layer.
The real Shetland wool from Adam Curtis is beautifully light yet warm!

Please look at the finished sizes to decide how much positive ease you like with your knits.

We’ll be using google document for the test knit but can be flexible so do get in touch.

This test knit is suitable for the intermittent knitters and you will need some experience of knitting cables.
- Deadline to finish is 4th of December.
- The Gauge is 18sts x 24 rows = 10cm x 10cm [4 x 4in] in stockinette stitch.
- Finished jumper bust circumference S, M, L (110) 130 (152) in cm designed with 20-30cm positive ease. However, choose the size according to the fit you prefer for your jumpers&body shape.
- Out knits used The Coconut Collection by Adam Curtis 100% British Wool Yarn 120yds/110m per 50g but sadly this is not available at the moment. We used 500 – 650g (no sleeves, sleeves) for size M.

We welcome the autum winds after the long summer, especially as we've been working hard behind the scenes on our first jumper pattern!

Day 4 - We ended our roadtrip at Harewood House. This day 4 was the 'cherry on the top' as Hanna perfectly put it!

Harewood House has a long and Interesting history. It is a beautifully kept stately home, one of the most beautiful ones we have seen in the UK. The volunteer guides were knowledgeable and we got a good insight of the history and life at Harewood. You could easily spend a day or two there! The grounds were equally well attended and the Himalayan gardens were especially enchanting.

We also finally had the opportunity to meet Adam Curtis in person. We are currently working with his Coconut collection yarns (Real Shetland wool) on our jumper designs and it was a great opportunity to share our ideas with him. Thank you for taking the time to meet us!

Day 3 - We explored York walking on the old city walls followed by a guided walk with loads of insights to the history of York. Our volunteer guide Malcom was brilliant. We were especially interested to hear about the historic importance of sheep and wool for the city of York and Yorkshire in general. A lot of the wealth in the area has been based on the wool trade. Apparently, the county still has the highest population of sheep in England.

We are really excited to have finished the patterns for the beanie hat and matching wrist warmers. We named the design ‘Kotipolku’ which means ‘the path home’ in Finnish.

We loved knitting with Preseli yarn. It’s organic blend of Polwarth, Romney and Hebridean wool. It’s soft and plentiful (200m/50g skein) and comes in many beautiful colours.

Yarn shopping yesterday in Richmond🌟
Such a beautiful, well stocked shop with very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
We felt like two kids in the sweet shop 😁

These independent shops are often a treasure trove of knowledge and choice. It’s wonderful to be able to touch and feel the yarn before purchasing it. An important aspect missing when shopping online.

There are only handful of yarn shops left in London, let’s keep supporting them 🧶❤️
