Time to meet May's speaker, Sue Liburd MBE.
A British Army veteran, and the owner and Managing Director of Sage Blue, a specialist advisory business working across public, health and commercial sectors. She serves as a Non-Executive Director for several fast-growing SMEs and has experience mentoring business owners and leadership teams through periods of growth, change and complexity.
Sue will be giving us a speech on Rethinking Civic Leadership.
Sue will explore the idea that civic leadership is not a title, but a responsibility shared across business and community. Drawing on her experiences as a civic leader, High Sheriff of Lincolnshire, British Army veteran, and business leader, Sue reflects on how SMEs are central to civic life through the decisions they make and the communities they help shape. The talk invites leaders to consider their role beyond business performance, and how thoughtful, values-led leadership can contribute to stronger, more connected communities.
