Yesterday's Orange Café was a wonderful success! 🧡
Thank you to our members and our guest, Val, for braving the cold weather to catch up and advocate for a crucial cause.🧡✨
🔶Why orange? The United Nations marks the 25th of every month as "Orange Day" to raise awareness and take action to end violence against women and girls. As an optimistic colour, orange represents a brighter future free from violence.
We host a local Orange Café every month on or near the 25th. Come see us next month at Coffee #1, Lichfield (11:00 AM – 12:30 PM)—just look for the ladies in orange to say hello and find out more! Next month is also the start of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign (www.campaign.unwomenuk.org/16-days)

October was an action-packed month for SI Lichfield & District! 🧡
We kicked off our meeting with a presentation of membership badges to new members Denise and Maria.
We had speaker Charlotte Burns (DipFA) deliver an incredibly informative talk on “Wealth Planning for Later Life,” leaving everyone with valuable food for thought regarding future financial planning.
In solidarity with the fight against VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) and ahead of the upcoming 16 Days of Activism Campaign, members took part in a powerful activity. Everyone wrote calls to action on orange dust cloths, creating a strong visual message to end violence against women and girls.
As always, the room was buzzing with discussion about our many ongoing community initiatives, including the Pamper Hampers, cookery teaching at Pathways Refuge, Angela’s Bursary, and our Healthy Relationship talks.
It was a wonderful evening that perfectly balanced impactful project work with fun and friendship! 💙💙

What a wonderful Macmillan Coffee Morning at Carole’s house! ☕🍰

With delicious homemade cakes, a raffle and lovely company, the morning raised over £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Chloe Smail Foundation is holding a charity firewalk at Burntwood Rugby Club on Friday 16th October, starting at 6 pm. We’re pleased to share this event in support of a charity close to our club’s heart.

💚 Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply notice when someone may be struggling — and have the courage to start a conversation.

Today, The Prince of Wales has brought together leading figures from across sport, including Harry Kane, George Russell and others, to highlight the important role we can all play in su***de prevention.

The message is a simple but powerful one: you don’t need to be an expert to reach out to someone.

Ask how they are. Listen. Give them the space to talk. And, where needed, help them find the right support.

We’re sharing this film today because conversations really can make a difference. 💚
