🎺 A PROUD WEEKEND FOR LEYLAND BAND! 🌺

Yesterday, two of our very own players, Andrew Lofthouse and Alistair Smith, had the honour of performing The Last Post ahead of two huge Premier League fixtures at Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Both are no strangers to these occasions and once again played brilliantly in front of thousands of football fans as part of the clubs’ Remembrance commemorations.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic soprano cornet and repiano cornet duo in the band!

Well done, both! 👏

🌹 WORDS & MUSIC FOR REMEMBRANCE 🌹

A special afternoon at St Mary’s Church in Leyland today as we came together in support of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

It was a privilege to share an afternoon of music, reflection and remembrance alongside our special guests.

A special mention must go to David Loftus, a longstanding supporter and great friend of Leyland Band, who was instrumental in bringing today’s event together. We’re incredibly grateful for his continued support and all the hard work that goes into making occasions like this possible.

It was also a pleasure to be joined by Sharon Hartley from BBC Radio Lancashire, who helped make the afternoon such a special occasion.

We Will Remember Them. 🌹

Finally, a big thank you to Andrew Lofthouse for stepping in to conduct today’s concert, and to Georgina Atkinson for covering Andrew’s seat on soprano cornet. We’re very grateful to you both!

What an INCREDIBLE night we had premiering our new show, Williams vs Zimmer: The Sountrack Showdown! 🤩🎺

We had so much fun performing at the New Adelphi Theatre to a very enthusiastic audience, who got extremely competitive with the interactive quiz throughout. Well done to members of Team Williams who came out on top of this intense battle! 👏

It was so amazing to be joined by the wonderful 99th Garrison, who brought the event to life by meeting and greeting the audience and band in character, whilst also raising money for St Catherine's Hospice, Lancashire. 🦸‍♂️

It was an absolute joy to play for you, and that was after a sold out show of We're Going on a Bear Hunt LIVE earlier in the day...more on that later though. 🐻🎬

Thank you for coming! 🙏
